The This Is 40 actress is in talks with 20th Century Fox to star in the salacious comedy about a woman (Diaz) who discovers that her lover is a married man and hatches a payback plot with his wife, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl featured in Judd Apatow's Knocked Up as expectant parents dealing with the consequences of a one-night stand.

Rudd enjoyed a supporting role as Heigl's onscreen brother-in-law, with Apatow's real-life spouse, Leslie Mann, playing his movie wife.

It has now been confirmed Rudd and Mann will reteam in a follow-up, which will be written and directed by Apatow. It is not known whether Rogen or Heigl will be joining the cast.
