The Boardwalk Empire star and her musician husband Dougie Payne, bassist with rock band Travis, welcomed Theodore last year  but kept news of the birth under wraps.

The couple, already parents to four-year-old son Freddie, exceeded Scotland's 21-day legal limit for registering the baby's birth but no action will be taken.

MacDonald is not the only star to remain secretive about her new addition - British singer Adele also failed to register her baby within England's required 42-day tim...

'Brave' Star Didn't Know She Was Pixar's First Princess Hero

June 25th, 2012 1:06pm EDT
Brave
It’s no surprise that the latest Pixar movie Brave became the number one movie in America last weekend. What’s surprising is that it is a princess tale, more akin to the classic Disney films than the modern Pixar ones. This fact was lost on its star, the voice of Princess Merida, Kelly Macdonald.

“Attention to detail is not my strong point and it quickly passed me by that I was going to be the first female protagonist in a Pixar movie until quite recently,” Macdonald said. “I’m kind of glad that I didn’t know what I was doing, because it would have been a lot of pressure. I don’t think I p...

Steve Buscemi Doesn't Get Aroused During 'Boardwalk Empire' Sex Scenes

August 17th, 2011 8:42am EDT
Steve Buscemi
Steve Buscemi is so modest when it comes to sex scenes he refuses to get naked - or aroused by his onscreen partner.

The actor, who appears to bed hop between mistresses in his TV drama "Boardwalk Empire," insists he doesn't enjoy intimate scenes with co-stars like Paz de la Huerta and Kelly MacDonald, because he's still shy when it comes to the bedroom.

He tells Playboy magazine, "I'm very modest. I've always got something on, and I don't get aroused.

"My motivation for going into the movies was definitely not the sex scenes."

June 27th, 2011 10:04am EDT
Brave
Disney/Pixar’s collaborations are known to be heartwarming and cheerful, films that are cherished by the entire family. Only one film is released by the partnership each year, and what 2012 has in store is going to be quite a departure from their typical repertoire.

Set to release July 22, 2012, “Brave” is centered around a Scottish princess, Merida, who brings trouble to her kingdom and sets out on a journey accompanied by the kingdom's three lords to restore peace.

What sets this film apart from previous ones is the seemingly darker quality that is present. Unlike the lighter moods ...

Starpulse Asks Michael Keaton About Directing 'The Merry Gentleman'

April 30th, 2009 10:28am EDT
Michael Keaton
Isn't it nice to have Michael Keaton back in our lives? Now, he may point out that he hadn't actually gone anywhere. But it has been three years since we've seen Keaton in theaters. Keaton's a charming guy, which was always a signature of a Michael Keaton Movie -- Mr. Mom, Gung Ho and, yes, even Batman.

Keaton is back in theaters this Friday with what could be, arguably, described as the first true Michael Keaton movie, considering he's making his directorial debut -- as well as starring -- in The Merry Gentleman. A story that follows a woman (Kelly MacDonald) who moves to Chicago aft...
