Ellen Page 'Suprised' And 'Humbled' By Oscar Nod

Young actress Ellen Page is overwhelmed by her Oscar nomination for her starring role in Juno - calling the experience "surprising" and "humbling".

The 20-year-old, who plays a pregnant teenager in the movie, is shortlisted in the Best Actress category at next month's Academy Awards and admits the news came as a complete shock.

She tells MTV.com, "We were coming from Paris on the train and just getting to London when I heard. It was exciting.

"Winning awards was something I was trying to keep out of my mind (but) it's a surprise and very humbling. It just blew me away."

She says, "It's really about being realistic. No one is going to be an A-list movie star and make millions of dollars forever. You're just not.

"It's also about the fact that I think we're lucky we got to be 40. There are so many people out there who die way too young."

Actress Laura Linney is heading back to Broadway to take on the historical villain played on the big screen by Glenn Close and Annette Bening.

The Love Actually star will play scheming La Marquise de Merteuil, opposite Broadway newcomer Ben Daniels, in Roundabout Theatre Company's Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Linney was last on the Broadway stage in 2005, when she won a Tony nomination for her role in Sight Unseen.

Previews of Les Liaisons Dangereuses will begin next spring.

The release date of Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson's new movie has been delayed for five months, in order to stand a better chance for next year's awards ceremonies. The Nanny Diaries - an adaptation of the best-selling novel by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus - stars Johansson alongside Laura Linney, and the comedy was originally due for release next month.

Ethan Hawke's personal business office in New York was destroyed by a fast-moving fire on Sunday morning. The actor is currently directing and starring in a movie version of his first novel, "The Hottest State."
