Laura Linney has no sympathy for stars who fear aging - she considers herself lucky to have lived to 40. The 43-year-old actress claims actors have no right to expect decades of success, when so many people die young.
She says, "It's really about being realistic. No one is going to be an A-list movie star and make millions of dollars forever. You're just not.
"It's also about the fact that I think we're lucky we got to be 40. There are so many people out there who die way too young."

Laura Linney fears she'll go bald and incur the wrath of her mother because she dyes her hair so much in movies. The actress boasts different colored locks in almost every movie she appears in - much to her mother's disappointment.
Linney says, "My mother always gets upset when my hair goes dark. She really hates it. And then going from dark to blonde takes a toll. It's amazing that I have a single strand of hair left on my head."

Actress Laura Linney is heading back to Broadway to take on the historical villain played on the big screen by Glenn Close and Annette Bening.
The Love Actually star will play scheming La Marquise de Merteuil, opposite Broadway newcomer Ben Daniels, in Roundabout Theatre Company's Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
Linney was last on the Broadway stage in 2005, when she won a Tony nomination for her role in Sight Unseen.
Previews of Les Liaisons Dangereuses will begin next spring.

Actress Laura Linney wants to go back to school to brush up on her history - after discovering how much she doesn't know on the set of her new period mini-series. The Oscar-nominee plays the wife of America's second president in John Adams, which is produced by Tom Hanks. Linney was shocked by her own ignorance about that period in history.
She says, "History should be taught again to adults, as it's wasted on the youth. There was an embarrassingly large amount of American history that I didn't know about."

Laura Linney is to wed her longtime boyfriend Marc Schauer. The 43-year-old star accepted Schauer's proposal last week, although the couple has yet to set a wedding date.
