Angela Lansbury Unhappy About 'Murder, She Wrote' Remake

November 12th, 2013 10:14am EST
Angela Lansbury
Angela Lansbury is begging TV producers at NBC not to remake her classic 80s crime series Murder, She Wrote.

The 88-year-old actress has called remaking the show a "mistake" despite Oscar winner Octavia Spencer set to take on the lead role in the show.

"I think it's a mistake to call it 'Murder, She Wrote' because 'Murder, She Wrote' will always be about a Cabot Cove (show's fictional village) and this wonderful little group of people who told those lovely stories and enjoyed a piece of that place, and also enjoyed Jessica Fletcher, who is a rare and very individual kind of person," Lansb...

From Poppy Montgomery, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Roselyn Sanchez in "Without A Trace" to Kathryn Morris in "Cold Case," "Law and Order's" S.
