A Pop Culture Focus Group

May 12th, 2009 9:30am EDT
Twilight
On a seemingly normal sunny Sunday morning, a few lucky "My Life, Made Possible By Pop Culture" readers gathered at a local Los Angeles theater for something they had only previously seen advertised as a "poor man's Chelsea Lately roundtable." The pop culture fans weighed in on everything from the leak of Eminem's new album to the new VH1 shows. They laughed; they ate cupcakes; and they found they agreed…at least on most topics.

Late last week, NBC announced their new fall line-up, which was ripe with an almost surprisingly equal amount of comedy, reality, and drama and included quite ...

'American Idol' Gives Back, And Michael Johns Is Eliminated

April 11th, 2008 9:07am EDT
American Idol
Tuesday night came and went. Host Ryan Seacrest introduced eight singers and three judges. Each performer chose an inspirational song to sing. As fast as it started, it ended. This week's "American Idol" could not compare to the hype and significance of Wednesday night's success of "American Idol Gives Back."

Why focus on Tuesday night's performances when one of the most popular reality shows dedicated two and half hours to raising money for poverty in the United States and Africa. Celebrities from all parts of the world displayed their compassion and generosity through their part...

'Dancing with the Stars' Premiere Part 2: Ladies Night

March 19th, 2008 9:18am EDT
Dancing With The Stars competitor Shannon Elizabeth
On Tuesday's episode of "Dancing With The Stars" they started out by reintroducing the competitors, for the three of you who didn't watch Monday night. At least we didn't have to sit through another random dancing scene, but I was left wondering what they're going to do to fill time - clips from Monday night, of course.

I noticed Steve Guttenberg got 666, creepy. Since I have the mutant power to remember what happened Monday night I started to zone out a bit. Len was in a good mood the night before, but apparently he was grumpy on Tuesday. Good thing he is professional enough to let u...

There has been an empty seat amongst the ladies of "The View" “and it will be a tough seat to fill" an ABC insider tells Star magazine.
