'Chuck' 5.08 'Chuck Versus The Baby' Review

December 31st, 2011 12:07am EST
Chuck
This week's Chuck boasts some very familiar special guests - and a baby. It's unashamedly sentimental, but that's just fine for a fun adventure as we near the end of the series.

Five years ago, in Budapest, Sarah was hanging out with Peter Burke...wait, wrong show, but that is Tim DeKay of White Collar as Sarah's handler Kieran Ryker. He orders her to take out a dining room full of thugs and rescue a baby. Now Ryker's defected, and that cute little baby is coming back to haunt Sarah.

Seems the tot was in line for a huge fortune, and rather than turn him over to Ryker so that he coul...

Cheryl Ladd Opens Up About Skin Cancer Battle

December 27th, 2011 8:10pm EST
Cheryl Ladd
Former Charlie's Angels star Cheryl Ladd has undergone minor surgery to remove skin cancer spots caused by her love of the beach.

The actress, who replaced Farrah Fawcett on the hit show, is a health nut who eats carefully and has regular check-ups - but her sun-worshiping past recently caught up with her.

She tells WellBella magazine, "I'm very careful in the sunshine. At this age I've had already - because of my love of the sun and beach - a few small skin cancers removed."

And she's also battling the onset of rheumatoid arthritis, which plagues her mom.

Ladd adds, "She's a strong wom...

New Photos Of 'Charlie's Angels' Filming In Miami - Can They Compete With The Original Cast?

Charlies Angels
We spotted the new "Charlie's Angles," Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh, filming in Miami for the upcoming remake of the popular 1970s TV series.

At one point, the actresses dove off the back of a boat into the ocean. During a break, Rachael walked with a large black umbrella while Minka and Annie laughed together while playing with Minka's dog Chewy.

Ramon Rodriguez has confirmed he'll be portraying Bosley in the upcoming TV revamp.

The original show starred Jaclyn Smith, Cherly Ladd, Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. Can the new cast compete with the iconic stars of the pa...

Kate Jackson Too Upset To Attend TV Land Awards Farrah Fawcett Tribute

April 22nd, 2010 9:26pm EDT
Kate Jackson
"Charlie's Angels" star Kate Jackson pulled out of joining the Farrah Fawcett tribute at the TV Land Awards on Saturday - because her pal's death is still so fresh.

Fawcett lost her battle with cancer last June and her "Charlie's Angels" castmate is still struggling to come to terms with the loss.

So she had to pass on the opportunity to pay tribute to the late actress, alongside Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith at the awards show in Los Angeles.

In a statement to fans, the actress explains, "Farrah was not only my friend, she was an iconic star who allowed us to hit the ground running that ...

Cheryl Ladd Almost Turned Down 'Angels'

April 20th, 2010 7:00pm EDT
Cheryl Ladd
Cheryl Ladd almost turned down her iconic role in the hit series Charlie's Angels - because she feared fans would reject her for replacing tragic TV legend Farrah Fawcett.

Ladd replaced Fawcett and played her character's sister Kris Munroe for 90 episodes between 1977 and 1981.

However, the actress was convinced she'd face a bitter backlash from Fawcett's loyal fans.

She says, "I was really nervous because I was stepping in and hoping beyond hope the show would work with me in it. Let's face it; there were big shoes to fill. So I said, 'OK, if I could be funny and make mistakes, then ...

Cheryl Ladd & Jaclyn Smith Sizzle On The Red Carpet At The TV Land Awards

April 19th, 2010 9:32pm EDT
Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith
Former "Charlie's Angels" stars (and current GILFs) Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith showed up at the TV Land Awards in California on Saturday looking fantastic for a couple of "old" broads.

Cheryl, who most recently starred in "Las Vegas" before it was canceled two years ago, is blonde and beautiful at 58! Jaclyn is an unbelievable 64 years old.

The pair were thrilled to receive an award, but Smith said it was "bittersweet, because we're missing a lot of members of our family."

Original angel Farrah Fawcett died last June; and John Forsythe, the voice of Charlie, passed away earlier this mo...

TV's Most Kick-Ass Female Detectives

February 16th, 2009 9:00am EST
Cagney and Lacey
Once upon a television season, fans of police dramas and crime procedurals didn't think detectives could ever get more hard-boiled than Vic Mackey of "The Shield" or Andy Sipowicz of "NYPD Blue." Thankfully, we were wrong. Not only are there an increasing number of take-no-prisoners police detectives and home-sleuths on the case, but many of them are wearing skirts. From Poppy Montgomery, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Roselyn Sanchez in "Without A Trace" to Kathryn Morris in "Cold Case," "Law and Order's" S. Epatha Merkerson and the women of the CSI franchise, powerful, well-written female pro...

Muppets Forever: The House That Henson Built

Sesame Street
For nearly 40 years Jim Henson’s Muppets have captivated audiences young and old, whether down the block on Sesame Street, from backstage on their own syndicated variety show, or even on the big screen. They’ve earned fans in Kanye West, Feist, Weezer, and Jason Segel, who’s been commissioned to bring them back to the moviehouse. This is the story of Jim Henson and how he built his beloved empire from a discarded housecoat and a pair of ping-pong balls.

When I lived in L.A., one of my favorite pastimes was walking up La Brea Avenue toward Hollywood Boulevard. Amid the hip boutiques, ch...
