'24' Day 7: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

February 18th, 2009 9:16am EST
24
Let's hope for the sake of the rest of the season, that the story doesn't spiral into the re-tread territory that made the latter half of season 6 so poor. While some people thought that Henry Taylor's gunshot wound would be the end, that wasn't the case, as we see him being taken to the hospital. The man took a shot to the gut, and his name is Jack Bauer, so it was easy to feel a bit skeptical on how he managed to survive, as well as disappointed as his storyline is the weakest part of the season thus far.

When President Taylor makes the irrational decision to visit Henry in the hosp...

'24' Day 7: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

February 10th, 2009 4:50pm EST
24
Last episode set up the meeting with President Taylor quite nicely, as Matabo, Jack, and Rene explain the situation, how Jack and Tony have been undercover, and how deep the conspiracy may lie. So after Dubaku calls the president and informs her he has Henry Taylor, the President must deliver Matobo within the hour or Taylor dies. Just for good measure, they cut off Henry's finger while still on the line.

So Jack does what he does best, find bad guys on a deadline and make them pay…often with their life or by taking body parts. Jack focuses on tracking down Agent Gredge, and Re...

'24': Day 7: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

February 4th, 2009 10:03am EST

One can sense the that the writers may have learned from past mistakes, as we are only one episode away from 8th episode of 24, the first of three acts. When Dubaku selects the chemical plant in Ohio, you don't know how to react or feel. Sure it would be bad if the gas is released, but this has already been done before on this show numerous times, and most effectively in season 3. So it does become a bit of shock when the gas isn't fully released, and they contain the threat. The story splinters off in unexpected directions, so hats off to the writing staff for handling certain delicate plo...

'24' Recap Day 7: 1:00PM - 2:00PM

January 29th, 2009 11:34am EST
24
Last week's gripping final moments on 24 led us to see Chloe and Buchanon come to the rescue, and it almost made you wonder how Renee was going to survive being buried alive. The catastrophic event in this season took place when Dubaku used the module to crash two planes together since president Taylor refused to withdraw troops from Sengala. The shot of the plane crashing was scene from a distance, and it really didn't have the impact of the nuclear bomb going off in season's 2 or 6. The writers should have chosen another way to show the crash, but I am sure that is a touchy subject with t...

'24' Recap Day 7: 12:00PM - 1:00PM

January 20th, 2009 1:39pm EST
24
With the Matabos locked in a concrete safe room, Jack Bauer creates a deadly gas from some household cleaners to try and force them out. This leads to an interesting situation with Mr. and Mrs. Matabo. He values his cause over his life and is explaining to his wife he will never give up his contacts in Senegal and cannot afford to be captured by Dubaku. His cowardice wife feels otherwise and opens the vault door last minute leading to their capture.

The scene was well executed and it really made the audience question on whether or not these people were both going to die. Jack an...

"Every one second you're helping the government you're spitting on Terri's grave" - Tony Almeida

You have to wonder how much more shocking this season would have been if Fox never announced that Tony Almeida was alive or if 24: Redemption never aired since it does give a further look and what could happen in the season. Now, it certainly seems to have foreshadowed too much, and let's hope that Fox's plan to bring back fans does not back fire. After four episodes, we would have to recommend that is might be better for new comers to skip Redemption altogether.

After Tony is capture...

'24' Season 7 Off To Satisfying Start

January 13th, 2009 12:46pm EST
24
Counting down the seconds to the new season of 24, I honestly didn't know what to expect. From the teasers, I knew that CTU was gone, Jack Bauer was on trial, and Tony Almeida was, somehow, both alive and evil. I knew there was a new presidency and a crisis in Africa, and I had a sneaking suspicion that everything would somehow be interconnected. Having watched the premiere, I can now report that my suspicion was correct, and that the seventh season of 24 is off to a satisfying start.

As I mentioned before, the season starts with Jack Bauer standing trial, though he is quickly whisked ...
