Eye-catching American actress Minka Kelly was born on June 24, 1980. She began her career with modeling and television commercials. The daughter of replacement Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay, Minka got her first break when she landed the part of Monica on an episode of the short-lived television comedy series "Cracking Up," alongside well-known comedic actors Molly Shannon, Christopher McDonald and Jason Schwartzman. This led to small roles on the TV shows Drake & Josh, American Dreams and What I Like about You.
Minka made her big-screen debut in 2005 in the thriller "Devil's Highway," and she went on to have roles in the films The Pumpkin Karver and "State's Evidence." However, she is most famous for her role as head cheerleader Lyla Garrity on the hit NBC television series Friday Night Lights. Minka has been romantically linked to actor Donald Faison.
Daughter of Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay, actress Minka Kelly was raised in New Mexico and started her acting career with roles in projects like the movie State's Evidence and with a recurring role on the show What I Like About You. In 2006, she was cast as head cheerleader Lyla Garrity on the series Friday Night Lights, a show based on the movie of the same name, about a small town in Texas where high-school football is among the most important things in life.
