September 16th, 2010 11:11am EDT
Kate Gosselin PEOPLE
Without a trainer or a crash diet, reality star Kate Gosselin reveals her sexy new look and bikini-ready body in a recent PEOPLE photo shoot held at a beach resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. In this week's issue, the world's most famous mother of eight also addresses rumors regarding plastic surgery, the "absurd" gossip about her bodyguard, and why she's still waiting for Mr. Right.

Previously more muscular and compact, Kate, 35, now has a longer, leaner physique, with impressively toned arms and abs. Of course, a tummy tuck in 2006, which removed excess skin from her pregnancies, gave h...

Cheryl Burke
Cheryl Burke showed off her beautiful dancer body in a tight bandage dress while joining her fellow "Dancing With The Stars" professionals at a pre-launch soiree at STK in Los Angeles on Monday.

Last season rumors swirled that Cheryl was hooking up with her partner Chad Ochocinco. Despite their on-screen sexual tension, they were not a couple. So who will Cheryl be linked to this season? She's going to be dancing with former Lakers star Rick Fox.

Burke has won two mirror ball trophies - with season 2 winner Drew Lachey and season 3 winner Emmitt Smith.

The final three celebrities gave it one last dance for judges on Tuesday night's "Dancing With The Stars" finale, but it was Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger who emerged victorious, narrowly edging out the other two competitors - ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews, and Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek - to win the show's coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.

During the finale, the three competitors danced the Tango in the penultimate elimination. Andrews was ousted first, leaving Scherzinger to face off against Lysacek in one final dance-off before being crowned champion.

'Dancing With The Stars' Recap: Kate Gosselin Berates Partner, Nicole Scherzinger Is The One To Beat & More

March 30th, 2010 11:38am EDT
Dancing With The Stars
It's Week 2 of "Dancing with the Stars" and everyone has a second chance to strut their stuff before the first couple is eliminated tomorrow night.

Up first is Shannen Doherty (Go BREN!!!) dancing the Jive with spotlight hog/partner, Mark Ballas. The judges are digging her tonight and Bruno even makes a "Heathers" reference. Shannen has not been this happy after a dance since Brenda lost her virginity to Dylan at West Beverly High's Spring Dance. Unfortunately, her scores are a little lower than expected, given all the praise, but still an improvement over last week. (18 last week + 20 to...

How To Make Carrie Ann Inaba Dance At Your Party

March 11th, 2010 9:05am EST
Carrie Ann Inaba-ALO-087486.jpg
Kevin Bacon tells the story that when he’s at a wedding or any kind of dance party, he has to tell the DJ not to play “Footloose,” because all the guests will insist he get up and dance. That’s only one song. Carrie Ann Inaba judges all the Dancing with the Stars contestants. When she’s at a party, she has to perform.

“On some level, yes, because everybody wants to make sure that you can dance, especially when you’re a judge,” Inaba said. “But, I love to dance so it’s never a problem.”

Now, it’s not just a free show. If you’ve got Carrie Ann Inaba at your party, there are some standards. ...

Gold and beige were hot colors at last night's Grammy Awards. Beyonce looked fantastic in a form-fitting Stephanie Rolland gown, while Katy Perry wore the same shade in a dress by Zac Posen, complete with gold flowers. Sexy "Tik Tok" pop star Ke$ha wore a flirty gold fringed dress. Carrie Underwood took the stage in a strapless gold gown but wore a white dress with an asymmetrical neckline on the red carpet.

Fergie stood out in her electric blue and gold dress, which had a hint of Egyptian flare. Taylor Swift was one of our top picks of the night in a blue sparkly floor-length Kaufman F...

Ty The Next To Go On 'Dancing With The Stars?'

Dancing With The Stars
The Dancing With The Stars semi-finals lived up to expectations as each of the four remaining couples performed a ballroom and a Latin routine, earning them scores to hopefully propel them into next week's finals.

Before their first routine, each couple analyzed their favorite dances from the past nine weeks. Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani picked the foxtrot and the samba to take cues from. She wanted to have a great frame like in the foxtrot and use her hips to the same extent that she did in the samba. Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke, the highest scoring couple of the season,...

Dancing With The Stars
Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke kicked off the evening of Dancing With The Stars with a crazy Lindy hop. Gilles, like many other stars this season, has been dealing with an injury. His shoulder was hurt, but the doctor gave him a cortisone shot and he continued to push through rehearsal. However, the Lindy hop involves difficult lifts. Gilles worked through the pain and pleased the judges, though.

Carrie Ann Inaba said she was pleased to see a brand new side of Gilles. Bruno Tonioli thought that it was good to see a sense of comedy from the usually sexy, sensual guy. Gilles received a ...

Steve-O Gets The Lowest Score Of The Night On 'Dancing'

Dancing With The Stars
Dancing With The Stars reached the halfway point of the competition, and with only 8 stars left they have to prove whether they are "contenders" or "pretenders." This week the couples danced either the romantic rumba or the fun, energetic jive.

Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower were up first performing the jive. After some harsh critique last week from the judges, Ty decided he needed to loosen up. All the judges agreed that he was giving it his all, but that it wasn't that great. Judge Len Goodman told Ty he was charming, but looked bewildered while dancing. Bruno Tonioli thought the li...

Dancing With The Stars finally broke the point barrier and gave three stars the highly coveted ten. The show not only gave out this season's first perfect thirty, but also introduced the audience to two new dances - The Lindy Hop and the Argentine Tango. The Lindy Hop is similar to the jitterbug in its playfulness with flicks and kicks and lifts. The Argentine Tango is a dance of passion and sensuality. Also, based on Monday's performances, two stars will be going home Tuesday in a double elimination.

David Alan Grier and partner Kym Johnson were up first dancing the Lindy hop. David ...

'Dancing With The Stars' - Denise Bombs; Shawn, Gilles & Melissa Blow Everyone Away

Dancing With The Stars
It's the third week of Dancing With The Stars; the judges already have their favorites and those who they can barely tolerate. But every week something changes the contest, just a little bit.

This week, Denise Richards, who has fared pretty average the past few weeks, fell from grace. After performing her samba, Carrie Ann Inaba thought that Denise looked frightened to death. Len Goodman explained that the samba is one of the most difficult dances, but that Denise lacked the Latin kick that the dance needed. Bruno Tonioli said her routine was flat and full of holes. Not much worked out...

Len Goodman commented that her bust was too big and it led to some bad posture. Recap: 'Dancing With The Stars': Season 7 Week 2

September 30th, 2008 9:52am EDT
Dancing With The Stars
After booting funny-men Jeffrey Ross and Ted McGinley from Dancing With The Stars, the remaining eleven stars only had four days to prepare this week's routine. Stars were asked to dance either the Rumba or the Pasodoble, the two most "theatrical" dances in the competition. Guess that's the consequence to suffer when you have a long, drawn-out three-night premiere event.

First up to dance was singer Toni Braxton and partner Alec Mazo. During practice this week, Alec decided to show Toni how dedicated he was to her by singing an awful rendition of her song, "Un-break My Heart." But the ...

Dance-Off: 'Dancing with the Stars' vs. 'So You Think You Can Dance'

July 8th, 2008 9:15am EDT
Dancing with the Stars vs. So You Think You Can Dance
Two ratings juggernauts. Two programs that have reintroduced dance into the American lexicon. Two hits with remarkably similar formats (three judges, one host, erstwhile competitors trying to improve their technique while fighting for a prize and bragging rights, ultimately awarded by American audiences).

Despite these similarities, viewers of both Fox's So You Think You Can Dance and ABC's Dancing with the Stars know there are marked differences between the two. With that in mind, how do these shows stack up when compared with one another?

Ah, the professional dancers are on stage giving us a sneak preview of every hour-long results show we’ll be seeing from now until May. I forgot that watching this show makes me wish I was a dancer. Then I remember I can’t walk in a straight line without tripping so dancin...

At one point during the "Dance War" finale, I raised my hands to the heavens and yelled, "Enough!" If I'd known that I'd have to watch 75 minutes of Bruno and Carrie Ann talk about things I'd already seen, I would have just switched over to Tyra Banks's stronghold on MTV and watched another episode of "America's Next Top Model." That was not in the stars, however, and it was two full hours of fluff filler, montages, sub par performances, and Carrie Ann and Bruno overload for this intrepid "Dance War" reviewer.

"Dance War" crowned its winning team, but it wasn't an easy jaunt to the...

A definite "do" was the one sported by "Without a Trace" star Roselyn Sanchez. Wearing a one shoulder, knee-length dress in a slightly silvery color with golden prints, Roselyn appeared princess perfect. With her jet black hair flowing effortlessly on her shoulders, the only thing missing was a deserving tiara. Que princesa!

Remember when Alice fell down the rabbit hole and suddenly she was gallivanting with mad hatters, talking cards, and swam in a sea of her own tears? Well, none of that happened this week on "Dance War," but the completely illogical chain of events in that story applies to this baffling dance competition.

"Dance War's season finale is next week. What? So far, there is one team of four and one team of six. How on earth does that produce a winner? That's like having a track race but halfway through pulling out five runners and saying, "Yeah, we're done here." Team Bruno loses a m...

There Are Some Horrible Singers On 'Dance War: Bruno Vs. Carrie Ann'

What could have been the most unique aspect to "Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann" was its promise that Bruno and Carrie Ann would put up, shut up, and lay their own dancing skills to the test. What a slick switcheroo, however, to reveal that each team has its own hired choreographer, rendering the "war" a battle between hired help.

Bruno and Carrie Ann are the figureheads, not the maestros, for this sham of a dance competition. It might have been nice to see their egos put to the test each week as their routines received tepid or thunderous applause. Instead, Bruno and Carrie Ann c...

The Spice Girls' "Spice Up Your Life" came out in 1997? Scratch that. Let me make a Dionne Warwick psychic prediction. Perhaps the most perplexing question one can ask while watching "Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann" is, "Why is this show called Dance War?" By adding the element of singing to this competition, the dancing falls to the wayside and becomes a sloppy obstacle meant to leave contestants gasping for air while singing horrible boy band songs of the mid 90s.

This week, Bruno and Carrie Ann were forced to choose their six-person teams out of the 14 remaining contestants. For those who needed math tutors like your fellow "Dance War" writer, that means one male and one female had to be cut. ...
