| Pam Grier is everything to blacks. Her movies showed she can be a very strong person, beautiful, sensual, elegant, smart and inspirational. All of the above and more are the woman on the big screen. In the 70's when Hollywood was still showing black as Drug Dealers, Pimps, and Ho's, Pam Grier role was fighting against this evil. Blacks know in these communities there is always someone trying to keep our youth away from these problems that destroy us as a people. Even today Hollywood don't get it. They could probably make so much more money if they had more ethnic hero's. Fewer blacks are being killed off in the first 5 minutes of the movies, but even if they survive they still may get injured or need to be rescued by a white. To many cute white kids getting supernatural powers, making friends with aliens, or finding the mystical dinosaur or dragon eggs. Hopefully I did not get to far off. But changing the ethnic roles give every ethnic group an inspiration hero. And that's what Pam Grier did to the African American community. A true "Hero". | ||
