Original Dallas star Linda Gray has blasted Hollywood's plans to bring the veteran soap to the big screen. Gurinder Chadha is set to direct John Travolta as J.R. Ewing and Jennifer Lopez in Gray's former role as Sue Ellen in the forthcoming movie.

Former Dallas star Linda Gray is using every ploy she knows to land herself a role in her favorite TV series Desperate Housewives. The actress, who played Sue Ellen in the cult primetime soap for 11 years, now wants to become a feature on Wisteria Lane alongside the program's current stars Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria.

TV Land announced today that Cheers, Batman, Good Times and Dallas are among the shows that will be honored at the fourth annual TV Land Awards: A Celebration of Classic TV. The two-hour special will premiere on TV Land and Nick at Nite on Wednesday, March 22. The annual celebration recognizes shows and stars from television's rich history and is hosted by Will and Grace's Megan Mullally.
