I think Erin Gray is the best actress who ever played the part of a military officer. In her role as Col. Deering in the TV series "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" she exemplified the literary concept of "androgenous woman" on screen - a woman who can do a job traditional held by a man while maintaining her femininity both in speech and action
