'The Following' Series Premiere Recap - Is It Worth Following?

January 22nd, 2013 3:53pm EST
The Following
After months of hype, The Following finally premiered last night on Fox and, for the most part, the first episode did not disappoint. Created by Kevin Williamson, the brainchild behind the Scream movie franchise as well as The Vampire Diaries, The Following paints a portrait of a serial killer so intelligent and psychopathic that the cat-and-mouse game he initiates in the pilot will be enough to carry an audience through at least the first season.

Our killer is Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), a former English professor who is an expert in Gothic literature, especially the works of Edgar Alla...

'Lockout' Star Maggie Grace Did Something Unusual On Vlad The Impaler's Grave

April 17th, 2012 9:11am EDT
Maggie Grace
"Lost" and "Taken" star Maggie Grace used her downtime on the Serbian set of new action movie "Lockout" perfecting her tennis.

The actress was thrilled to find courts next to the location chosen for the outer-space prison thriller and she had a few history lessons while she was serving and smashing.

She tells BlogTalkRadio.com, "On Sundays I took tennis lessons and it was at these crazy Roman ruins and there was a moat around it. They turned them into clay tennis courts.

"Supposedly Vlad The Impaler (the tyrant who inspired Dracula) is buried under there and it was crazy that I was playi...

Guy Pearce Pumped Up For Action Hero Role In 'Lockout'

April 11th, 2012 11:00am EDT
Lockout
Guy Pearce is well known for his dramatic work in movies like Memento and The King’s Speech. Viewers will see his physical side in Lockout, as the action hero Snow. Pearce has a strapping body with arms exploding out of a tank top.

“It was a lot of serious working out in a Belgrade gym,” Pearce said. He shot the film in Serbia. Snow has to go to a space prison to rescue the president’s daughter (Maggie Grace), and he looks like he can handle himself.

“I just went back to the gym. I used to work out in the gym a lot when I was younger. I was a competition body builder when I was 16 or some...

Review: Sci-Fi Thriller 'Lockout' Falls To Earth (Video)

April 10th, 2012 1:00pm EDT
Lockout
The year is 2079 and in this so-called Sci-Fi futuristic thriller, entitled 'Lockout', 500 of the most violent criminals are kept in a state of suspended animation on a space station orbiting above earth. This high tech penitentiary is known as MS One.

I say so-called, because the sleeping prisoners are the only aspect of this film that can be deemed 'futuristic' or even, 'Sci-Fi.'

The film was written (along with Luc Besson) and directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, who I guess are famous for a 15 minute short called 'Prey Alone.'

Guy Pearce plays Agent Snow, who has been se...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'The Cabin In The Woods,' 'Three Stooges' & More

April 9th, 2012 1:00pm EDT
Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies
My high hopes for the fourth “American Pie” movie were dashed after I saw “American Reunion.” There was plenty of 90s nostalgia and some of the trademark humor that you love from the franchise, but on the whole the film was pretty depressing. For more of my thoughts, check out the full review.

Dropping in at the box office this week are the Joss Whedon penned horror film “The Cabin in the Woods,” the modern-day take on a classic comedy trio in “The Three Stooges,” the action packed sci-fi movie “Lockout,” the African American kidnapping thriller “Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day,” ...

Q&A: 'Flying Lessons' Director Derek Magyar

December 2nd, 2011 11:15am EST
Derek Magyar
Many actors aspire to direct; great directors like Ron Howard and Jon Favreau were actors first. That's the same career path that Derek Magyar is on. Still a working actor, he directed and produced the film Flying Lessons, which arrives in select theaters today.

The film has an intriguing cast - near-legend Hal Holbrook, Academy Award winner Christine Lahti, Cary Elwes (Glory, The Princess Bride, The X-Files), and Maggie Grace (Lost, Taken) at the top - that brings to life the story of Sophie (Grace)'s return home to the messy relationships of her past. As she tries to put the pieces ...

Maggie Grace's Retro Pale Pink Dress - Hot Or Not?

June 8th, 2010 11:24am EDT
Maggie Grace
Former "Lost" actress Maggie Grace showed up at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City on Monday wearing a really short pale pink dress that looks like it came straight out of the 1960s. We wonder if she revealed anything when she sat down in it?

Maggie stars in the upcoming film "Knight And Day" opposite Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. The film centers on a fugitive couple (Cruise and Diaz) who wage a war between truth and trust while speeding across the globe in an attempt to avoid capture by a determined federal agent.

She recently appeared in "Taken," starring Liam Neeson as an ex-sol...

Enigmatic Final Scene Of 'LOST' Added By Network - Not Producers

May 27th, 2010 11:05pm EDT
LOST
The final scene shown during ABC's Sunday night broadcast of the "LOST" series finale was added to the show by the network - not executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse - according to a report on Entertainment Weekly.com.

The last images of Oceanic Flight 815 wreckage strewn across the beach with only the soothing sound of crashing waves in the distance quickly became one of the show's biggest mysteries.

But a spokesman for ABC told the L.A. Times, "The images shown during the end credits of the 'Lost' finale, which included shots of Oceanic 815 on a deserted beach, were not p...

'LOST' Final Recap: A Fitting Ending That Should Stand Up Against Time

May 24th, 2010 1:35pm EDT
Lost - Finale
This might be the most difficult thing I've ever written, and I can't even figure out how to get started. LOST has changed television, and if you don't believe that, you don't understand what an incredible show it was. Even haters can realize that with its original plotline and encouragement of science fiction in a major network, it opened doors for shows outside of the box to maybe be taken more seriously than they used to. It was a community show, one that encouraged the millions of fans to think and discuss and speculate together in a way that had never been seen. It decided to cancel it...

'Lost' Actress Maggie Grace Is a Klutz

Lost beauty Maggie Grace says she is so clumsy she falls over her ownlegs. The 5' 9" blonde - who played Shannon in the hit show - admitted she has no coordination and often embarrasses herself by tripping up.

She said: "I trip over my legs all the time. I'll wave to somebody, look up, and end up eating pavement." The actress added to Britain's Esquire magazine: "Ice-skating is a dangerous proposition and tennis is going to be something I'm probably not very good at."

Grace recently exited "Lost" when her character was killed off at the beginning of season two. Her on-screen brot...
