March 28th, 2008 3:00pm EDT
Alais
You know them, you love them...and you certainly wouldn't want to piss them off. So who are they? They are the uber tough heroines who prove time and again that one doesn't need a y chromosome to kill bad guys, protect loved ones and ultimately save the day. Each one of them fights for a different reason, a different cause. Each has her own style, strengths, and battles. They do all share a common trait, however - they can all take on pretty much any man, woman, robot or monster that comes their way. Here is Starpulse's tribute to "Television's Top Buttkicking Gals."

Sarah Michelle Gellar Too Tired For Her Porn Scene

March 28th, 2008 1:16pm EDT
Sarah Michelle Gellar
Hollywood actress Sarah Michelle Gellar was too tired to perform a sex scene in her 2006 movie Southland Tales - because she had just feasted on turkey. The Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress plays a porn star in the movie, but was disappointed when she couldn't partake in an intimate scene with full gusto, because all she wanted to do was sleep.

The 30-year-old had binged on a huge Thanksgiving meal of turkey - which contains chemicals that make you lethargic - just before she was due to film the scene.

She tells Maxim magazine, "For a porn star, I didn't get much action. I filme...

'Melrose Place': Where Are They Now?

February 25th, 2008 12:00pm EST
Melrose Place
Sixteen years ago we were first introduced to Melrose Place, an innocent (at least it started that way) spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210 that took place in a West Hollywood apartment complex. I know as an 8-year-old boy I was excited to see what the lives of 20-something people would be like. I assumed lots of swimming and talking about art. I was wrong, so very very wrong. Seeing as the show ended its run almost 10 years ago we should look back and see just where those over-sexed and off-kilter roommates have gone. Now I can relate to what the show was about!

Movies are awesome. Sometimes, however, a movie isn't awesome. Sometimes it should never have been made, and you shouldn't go see it (because it's a waste of money or you just want to protest). Big Screen To Little Screen: Some Series Shine Will Others Fail

October 22nd, 2007 12:56pm EDT
Buffy
Often we don’t realize that our favorite TV shows began as vehicles on the big screen. Many of television’s best programs started that way. Then again, so did some of the worst.

In 1974, Ellen Burstyn starred in the Oscar awarded Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. The movie was such a success that it was turned into “Alice,” complete with Vic Tayback as Mel. Unfortunately, it was Polly Holiday who made the sitcom a success. By the time she left the show and was replaced in 1980 by the original Flo, Diane Ladd, the damage had already been done. The series soon met its demise.
