'Game Of Thrones' Spoilers: Will A Fan Favorite Book Storyline Make It Into The Show's Fifth Season?

June 27th, 2014 2:31pm EDT
Michelle Fairley as Catelyn Stark in Game Of Thrones
The following contains spoilers from both the Game of Thrones television series and George R.R. Martin A Song of Ice and Fire book series, along with one for 24: Live Another Day.

Shortly after Michelle Fairley's "24" character was killed off, the actress spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her two latest television characters meeting their demise, the second being that of Catelyn Stark on "Game Of Thrones."

Fairley was also questioned about the possibility of returning to the show, as even though Stark was clearly dead after having her throat slit from ear to ear on HBO's hit series, her...

'Game Of Thrones' Recap: Season 2, Episode 5 - 'The Ghost Of Harrenhal'

April 30th, 2012 7:52pm EDT
Game of Thrones
If there’s one thing “Game of Thrones” doesn’t do, is waste time. Last week’s episode closed with shots of sorceress Melisandre birthing some monstrous shadow, a wispy, manlike demon summoned for some mysterious bidding. This week’s episode, “The Ghost of Harrenhaal,” opened rather routinely: Catelyn and Renly were chatting about kingly things while Brienne helped Renly remove his armor. And then, with a fellow swoop, the shadow demon entered, stabbed Renly, and fled. All in the first five minutes.

The abruptness of the deed was cold, indeed. Brienne cried out in horror at the loss of her ...

'Game Of Thrones' Recap: Season 2, Episode 4 - 'Garden Of Bones'

Game of Thrones
If last night's episode of "Game of Thrones" doesn't get people talking, I don't know what will.

I'm sure dedicated book fans were expecting those final shots, when sorceress Melisandre gave birth to… a shadow baby? As a non-book reader, I'm murky on the details. But I do know that I finished this episode with an audible exhale of breath. Not only was it the most outwardly fantastical scene of the show so far (with the exception, perhaps, of Dany's dragons), but it was wrought with tension. I was expecting the birth of an illegitimate Stannis baby, after their steamy sex scene last week. W...

'Game Of Thrones' Recap: Meet Brienne Of Tarth And Margaery Tyrell In 'What Is Dead May Never Die'

April 16th, 2012 4:30pm EDT
Game of Thrones
"Game of Thrones" is nothing if not expansive (understatement of the century). Characters who get the silent treatment for long drags of time have a tendency to crop up as soon as they’re forgotten. That reinsertion takes centerfold in this week’s installment, with Renly Baratheon’s quest for glory as the overarching storyline.

Like his brothers, Robert and Stannis, Renly is a noble man, a little too proud and a little too stubborn to assume the leadership role he so rightfully seeks. With bastard child Joffrey at reign, Westeros is in the thick of an ugly war, new enemies and allegiances...

'Game Of Thrones' Scripts Stolen Before Charity Auction

August 16th, 2011 7:59am EDT
Game of Thrones
Author George R. R. Martin has urged fans to look out for two scripts from hit TV show Game Of Thrones which were stolen before a planned charity auction.

The writer, who penned the fantasy novels A Song of Ice and Fire, which the hit HBO series is based on, planned to put scripts from two episodes of the show under the hammer at the sci-fi WorldCon event later this week.

However, after he had the screenplays sent over for him to sign, he discovered both manuscripts had been stolen.

In a post on his blog, Martin writes, "The US post office delivered the envelope in a plastic baggie wi...
