Also taking home Oscar gold for best actor and actress in 1982 respectively were Katharine Hepburn and Henry Fonda for On Golden Pond. In music Michael Jackson released Thriller which sold more than 25 million copies, becoming the biggest selling album in history.

Remember Me - Robert Pattinson
As I sit here preparing this column, the Oscars have not aired yet, but I must admit there’s not a high likelihood that I will be watching them when they come on. Most years I’ll watch a few minutes here or there, if I’m interested to see who wins an award in real time.

The ceremony is drawn out and boring in my opinion, and requires sitting through too many commercials to warrant watching from start to finish. I care about the winners of various awards, just not enough to suffer through the tedium. I’m sure I’ll have some feedback for next week’s column though on the winners and loser...
