Dynasty star Linda Evans agreed to pose nude for Playboy to help her cash-strapped husband John Derek fund a new film.

The actress reveals she never intended the intimate shots her husband took of her to hit the pages of Playboy - but when he needed money, she agreed to free them up for the men's magazine in 1971.

Appearing on news show Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, Evans said, "We took the pictures for us. He loved photographing me and he took pictures of me every day.

Joan Collins is tipping British actress Gemma Arterton to take on her famous Alexis Carrington character in a movie prequel to her hit TV series Dynasty.

The popular show, which ran from 1981 until 1989, focused on a rich oil family in Colorado and starred late actor John Forsythe as tycoon Blake Carrington, alongside Linda Evans and Collins.

Hit 1980s soap opera Dynasty is set to be revived for a new movie prequel.

The popular show, which ran from 1981 until 1989, focused on a rich oil family in Colorado and starred late actor John Forsythe as tycoon Blake Carrington, alongside Linda Evans and Joan Collins.

Bo Derek is promising to show off her tough side when she plays a tough fashion boss in her new TV soap "Secret Passions" - by fighting with her son's girlfriend. Heather Locklear, John James and Dihann Carroll have snubbed the chance to reunite with their Dynasty castmates in an upcoming TV special. Producer Michael Levitt is the brains behind the show, "Dynasty Reunion: Catfights & Caviar," and he invited the entire cast to team up for the anecdotal special, which will air in May.

John Forsythe, Linda Evans, Catherine Oxenberg and Joan Collins were among the first stars to sign up for the 25th anniversary show, but Levitt has had less luck with others. He says, "They graciously declined."
