Actress Jessica Chastain has been added to the celebrity honourees at this year's (13) Maui Film Festival in Hawaii.

Kirsten Dunst and Brie Larson have already been announced as recepients of two of the event's top awards, and now the Zero Dark Thirty star is also joining the line-up.

She will receive the festival's prestigious Nova Award, which recognises "original and seamless performances".

The actress admits she's a big fan of the program and, by getting her cousin Elise, on the set, she hopes to get some behind the scenes access and gossip.

In one scintillating scene, Dunst's character has sex in the bathroom of a strip club, and she has warned her dad to stay away from the movie.

"I can't do that to him. I didn't even tell him there was an LA premiere. And I was like, 'Yeah, dad - don't even try getting it on iTunes because you will not like this movie. You're a prude. You will hate it. I know you!'" she told E! News.

The Spider-Man star was granted a temporary court order against Jean Christophe Prudhon, 51, in December amid allegations he sent her more than 50 love letters and jetted to the U.S. to meet her face-to-face, even confronting the actress' mother on the doorstep of her home.
