In a recent interview with So So Gay Magazine, Emmy Award winning actress Fran Drescher shared how her 'Cancer Schmancer' movement is focusing on the home environment. “Over 90% of cancers are environmental and by detoxing our homes we can start to decrease cancer rates together,” she told the magazine. Actress Fran Drescher has shed 15 pounds after committing to a vegan and gluten-free diet.

The Nanny star ignored doctors' advice to take new medications in a bid to solve her flagging energy level problems, and instead changed her diet.

She launched a health overhaul, cutting out alcohol, animal products and items containing gluten from her diet - and it did wonders for her body.

Actress Fran Drescher helped a gay couple tie the knot by officiating at their wedding ceremony on Tuesday.

The former The Nanny star presided over the nuptials of the pair, known only as Tom and Russell, at XL Nightclub in New York City.

Drescher took to her Twitter.com page to share snaps of the happy couple and their two kids, writing, "Mazel tov Tom & Russell!"

She added, "Tom & Russell hav (sic) been together for 20 years, that's what I call dedication... What an amazing day! Tom & Russell are incredible! Feel so lucky to have been included in their big day!"

Actress Fran Drescher is urging fans to check the chemical content of everyday household products in a bid to stave off cancer.

The former The Nanny star, who survived uterine cancer, has launched the Trash Cancer website to help consumers become familiar with toxins found in skincare, food and cleaning agents.

The site also features survivors' stories, healthy recipes and government petitions to ban carcinogens.

Are you ready to tawk? Fran Drescher is, and she’s excited about it. She’s rolling out ‘The Fran Drescher Show,’ a one-hour entertainment show developed by FOX Television Stations and Debmar-Mercury, this week.

The talker, debuting Nov. 26, the day after Thanksgiving, will receive a three-week trial run on six FOX-owned stations in New York (WNYW), Los Angeles (KTTV), Philadelphia (WTXF), Phoenix (KSAZ), Minneapolis (KMSP) and Orlando (WOFL). If all goes well, the show will be back full-time in national syndication in Fall 2011.

Actress Fran Drescher has landed her own talk show.

The Nanny star has been handed a three-week pilot run in New York; Los Angeles; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Phoenix, Arizona; Minneapolis, Minnesota and Orlando, Florida from November 26th, and if the show becomes a success Drescher will score a national debut late next year, according to EW.com.
