Executives of a TV captioning service have reached out to the Hollywood actress to express their regret after the KDFW station in Dallas, ran a picture of accused suspect Dzokhar Tsarnaev with the words, "Marathon Bomber. He is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel."

The mistake was made on Friday during TV coverage of a massive manhunt in Boston, Massachusetts for those responsible for the horrific blast on April 15th.

Zooey Deschanel's divorce from rocker Ben Gibbard has finally been finalized.

After two years of marriage, last December "The New Girl" star filed for divorce from the Death Cab for Cutie star, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending their union.

The marriage was officially dissolved on December 12, according to documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Deschanel has since started dating "Dear John" screenwriter Jamie Linden.

Zooey Deschanel has withdrawn her lawsuit against a shoe company.

The star launched a legal battle against executives at Steve Madden back in December, 2010 alleging bosses at the firm had used her name and likeness in a number of adverts but had failed to pay her her $2 million fee for the endorsement deal.

However, Deschanel has since decided to drop the case and last week filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A reason for the lawsuit's withdrawal has not been revealed.
