Talk show host SCAB. Ellen claims her reason for crossing the picket line during the Writers strike was so she wouldn't disappoint folks who had traveled some distance to see her ...... I guess she must have a very high opinion of herself then. Jay, David and dozens of other big name celebrities honored the writers by refusing to cross and show their support. I'm sure there were disappointed fans who had traveled to New York to see Letterman. Sorry Ms. Degeneres.........I wouldn't cross the street to meet YOU! | ||

| I think Ellen is a great host on her show. And it doesn't hurt that she loves all animals. That's just icing on the cake! I kind of wish I got to meet her in person though but I realize that I'm just me and she probably just wants to meet fellow actors and actresses! | ||

As toomom stated. What Degeneres did was to intentionally inflect harm on the rescue moms by using the viewing public. The previous post mentions her publicist should be fired......my question is ""why didn't the producers yank the program?". NBC had to have known that a lot of crazy people watch Ellen and her crying jag would incite the lunies. So no wonder there were death threats. Why did the network even air the program? Obviously the show is taped since they are able to promo guest videos days in advance. The network should never have aired that particluar episode. If I were in the jury box I'd give those rescue moms a ton of money for emotional distress. | ||

| Using her show as a platform to intentionally cause emotional harm to the rescue agency was a major case of very poor judgment. If her publicists approved that stunt then Ellen should fire her publicist. Either way, someone from the Degeneres camp should be held responsible. Not an Ellen fan | ||

Don't you just hate it when some entertainment type tries to use her or his "star power" to set an entirely separate set of rules for themselves? I give kudos to the rescue agency for making Ellen abide by the same rules every other blue collar woker has to live by. We all know the story of Iggygate from Ellen's perspective but few of us knows the real facts. I hope the correct details can become public soon. I hope those moms file a lawsuit aginst Ellen and her partner! By going on her national TV show, sobbing into the camera about how poor Iggy was literally ripped from the arms of three bawling children who had come to love him so, she intentionally tried to inflict damage upon the agency Never mind her own responsibility for having created this mess. The rescue agency suffered damaged by a calculating maniacle Degeneres. Shame on Degeneres | ||

I agree that Ellenis one of the biggest celebrity bullies. There plenty of things that concern me about Mutts & Moms? Yes, including the fact that they adopted out an unneutered animal. But just because she is a celebrity, I am not willing to give a free pass to DeGeneres - who returned another dog to Mutts & Moms before acquiring Iggy - or her hairdresser, because the presence of weepy kids does not an automatically a great home make. If this family wanted the dog so much why were they unwilling to fill out an application. Ellen instigating the whole drama just makes me so sick of her . She has now nullified all the good she has ever accomplaished. She won't be seen or heard in my home again. | ||

Ellen Degeneres is not the first celebrity bully to break a contract. She's not the not the first celebrity narcissist to cause innocent people to suffer. She's not the first celebrity to use her show to affect the public opinion with slided facts and editing. Even if Ellen was wrong. Why should she have to follow the rules? So what if the hairdressers family didn't want to fill out an application for adoption of Iggy. Why should they have to follow any rules............they know Ellen Degeneres.........isn't that enough??? | ||

| I think America needs to really get a grip on this "pet" thing. Damn, it's just a dog. If this was not Ellen, the media could care less. People will take in a homeless cat, dog, bird etc..and feed it, shelter it and love it. But they will pass over a homeless person that is struggling to feed their children and raise their noses. Forget the dumb stuff and wake up. I challenge people to look into their family,close friends and relatives and you will find a whole lot more issues that are hidden that you would be ashamed if the public knew. Now that I've done a little research on the true facts of Iggygate and read the transcripts I will never ever believe anything I see or hear from Ellen Degeneres again. Her level narcissism is very apparent. It also show how easily manipulated the viewing public can be(like children) The rescue agency did and still does own IGGY. They have contacts that Ellen chose to ignore and the biggiest undisclosed fact. The Hairdresser chose NOT to fill in the necessary paperwork to adopt Iggy. The family refused on the advise of Ellen's lawyer. So the pup was given to a family that was willing to do the paperwork. That sounds fair to me. | I adore Ellen myself, I had no idea her lover was Portia, Im so behind on celebrities and whats going on in their lives, but Ellen is very down to earth, and very very funny, I have loved her Ellen Dance shes famous for, and I understand her crying on TV about the doggie, I have a dog I took in after he had 3 homes, she was only trying to give the dog the best of homes, because she cared,..I hope shes able to resolve this situation without the dog having to lose out on a loving home... | ||
