Bette Davis was the greatest film actress of her time, possibly of all time. She could go from tender to terrifying in moments. Although she was not physically beautiful, her astonishing acting skills made her appear so, as in her brilliant turn as Margo Channing in All About Eve. In her latrer years, she appeared in a television movie, awkwardly titled "White Mama," which was one of the most moving performances I've ever seen. Bette should have won an Oscar for her stunning role of Baby Jane Hudson. That role could have come off as campy and B-rate, instead, Bette made Baby Jane a sad, poignant, tragic figure. Bette Davis was the best - hands down.

Bette Davis is one of the most famous Stars in Hollywood history. Few stars and studios have the perfect match as Ms. Davis and Warner Bros. Under contract to WB for nearly 20 years Davis had a winning streak of great roles "Juarez" "Dark Victory" "Now Voyager" "Jezebel" "Elizabeth & Essex" "The Letter" etc.

At WB Davis was the 'Queen of the Lot' and today looking back she is the greatest of all WB stars and that included Muni, Bogart, Cagney, De Havilland, Flynn, et al.

Davis was so forceful that she demanded the best roles and greatest Directors. Davis stated towards the end of her life that William Wyler -whom she worked with in "Jezebel" "The Letter" and on one of her two loanouts "The Little Foxes"(the other was "Of Human Bondage") was the great love of her life.

Davis worked with many top stars such as Spencer Tracy, Errol Flynn, Cagney, Bogart, De Havilland, Paul Muni and with few she feuded with such as Susan Hayward, Lillian Gish, Faye
Dunaway and most famously Joan Crawford whom she teamed with in her return to WB "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" and what resulted was one of Hollywood's great feuds and a box office hit. Ms Davis worked with Marilyn Monroe in the classic "All About Eve".

Immortal star of screen, in music folklore too with the great hit "Bette Davis Eyes"

I urge WB to name a building or the commissary after its greatest star.

Davis is buried in Forest Lawn cemetery and on her headstone as promised is "She Did It The Hard Way"
