Wishes Of A Television-aholic: 'Glee'

August 12th, 2011 9:58am EDT
glee cast
Believe it or not, this television-aholic actually scoffed at the early promos of what would come to be FOX’s mega-hit, “Glee.” The show looked silly and childish, and I thought it would be cancelled before the fourth episode. My initial assumptions were glaringly and wonderfully wrong. “Glee” is the television equivalent of cotton candy—brightly colored, lighthearted and achingly sweet. It makes me feel inspired and happy while most of my favorite shows make me want to curl up in the fetal position and ugly-cry.

Unfortunately, the last season was a little more sour than sweet thanks t...

The Hollywood party bosses at the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) are throwing for Prince William and his new bride will be a star-studded affair after all - Tom Hanks, Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Lopez will be on hand to greet the royal newlyweds.

Initial reports suggested the prince and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge would only meet little-known, up-and-coming stars at the Brits to Watch bash on Saturday in Los Angeles.

And the party looked like a flop when William's celebrity pal David Beckham revealed he wouldn't be able to make the get together.

This week is a tribute to the Fleetwood Mac album, Rumours and all the plot points are built around a track list that includes “Dreams” , “Don’t Stop,” and “Go Your Own Way,” among others.

Sue is back after a Gaga-mandated hiatus, and the first item on her agenda is to revitalize the school newspaper and get the gossip mill powered up and running. It’s actually one of her more sensible strategic efforts to take down the Glee Club. Using gossip columnists and tabloid coverage to take down a pop act?!? Look no further than the train-wreck eras of Britney, Whitney, and Lindsay, or Saved By...

Rather than hit us over the head with the theme of this episode, Finn clocks Rachel in the nose. In under a minute, rhinoplasty is on the table and New Directions is debating the merits of surgically enhanced vs unconditional self-acceptance. Miss Pillsbury is brought in to help Mr. Schue drive home the message that this we...
