Where Are They Now: Alicia 'Lecy' Goranson, AKA The Original Becky From 'Roseanne'

June 3rd, 2013 10:01pm EDT
Alicia Goranson
Actress Alicia "Lecy" Goranson is best known as the "original" Becky Conner from ABC sitcom Roseanne.

Born June 22, 1974, in Evanston, Illinois, Lecy played the eldest daughter of Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) and Dan (John Goodman) Conner from the show's 1988 premiere until the start of the fifth season in 1992.

Then things get confusing.

Goranson decided to leave the show to go to college at Vassar; however, she was able to continue on the show part-time. Since the show centered on a lower class family, her character it wouldn't be believable to send her off to college, so producers h...

We've watched many child stars grow up on TV or in the movies and blossom before our eyes. Now that they are all grown up we thought we'd point out some sexy former child stars.

The latest and first on this list is Alexa Vega, the former star of the "Spy Kids" franchise. Vega recently posted a picture of herself on Twitter in a bikini top while on set filming "Machete Kills," which she stars in and is directed by Robert Rodriquez. Vega is now 23 and apparently is also freshly divorced.

Check out our full list of our 12 hot and sexy child stars all grown up.

Interview: Jason Biggs, Sarah Chalke Are In 'Mad Love'

February 11th, 2011 4:34pm EST
Mad Love
Consider it an early Valentine's Day present: I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Jason Biggs and Sarah Chalke, two of the stars of CBS' entry into the "relationship comedy" bonanza, Mad Love. The series, which drops oh so perfectly on Valentine's Day, focuses on Biggs and Chalke (pictured on the lower left) as a couple in love - while his best friend (Tyler Labine, top right) and her roommate (Judy Greer, top left) hate each other, but not entirely. Here's what the guy from American Pie and the lady from Scrubs had to say about embarking on a new series together.

Emmy Voters, Please Recognize These Shows & Stars!

Big Love
The 2009 Emmy nominees will be announced Thursday morning and despite recent changes to the voting system, Emmy voters just can't seem to stray away from the same old outcome. Sure, 30 Rock gets showered with love, but how many more times does Mariska Hargitay need to make the cut?

Here are some names we'd like to see on the roster this year (in alphabetical order):

Big Love (HBO) - Ok Emmy voters, it's been three seasons. It's time to get over your aversion to the icky polygamy premise and embrace the TV bliss that is "Big Love." After a two year break (damn writers' strike!) the sh...

Josh Radnor
I fully admit this particular column is going to be anything but non-partisan. Regular readers will know that I am an unabashed fan of CBS's Monday night sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Once even going so far as to declare it the best show on television. So, it comes as no surprise that I was absolutely thrilled to have this long conversation with the series star, Josh Radnor, who plays the lead character, Ted Mosby.

Josh Radnor and I discuss New York living, the awesomeness of co-star Neil Patrick Harris and the back story behind Neil's People Magazine interview when he decided to come ...

'Scrubs' Is Back!

Scrubs
Last winter NBC announced that they would not be picking up Scrubs for an eighth season. When a bizarre fantasy world episode concluded the season that was shortened by the writers' strike, fans were left with a bad taste in their mouths. Could this really be the end of the fun dramedy that we had grown to love?

Slowly, the rumors began to circle that the actors had been asked to come back to work to make more episodes. Die-hards held out hope, and it became a reality when ABC announced that they would be airing a new season of Scrubs in January 2009. ABC Studios has actually...

'How I Met Your Mother': Weakest Episode Of Season 4

November 4th, 2008 9:39am EST
How I Met Your Mother
Two episodes ago on How I Met Your Mother, we all thought the lives of Ted (Josh Radnor), Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), Robin (Cobie Smulders), Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) would all be uprooted and never quite be the same again. Nope. Taking a break from election-eve coverage, I was shocked at how quickly things were back to normal in what was easily the weakest episode of the season.

How weak? Here is the recap in eighty-five words: Everyone is at McLaren's. Marshall is upset because Ted is not upset enough about being stood up at the alter by Stella (Sarah Chalk...

Stella Not The Mother On 'How I Met Your Mother'

October 21st, 2008 9:42am EDT
How I Met Your Mother
First of all, I need to apologize for mistakenly announcing this week's episode of How I Met Your Mother was going to be a repeat from last season. Considering Monday night's episode revealed some major plot points, well, I take full responsibility if you missed it.

So, Stella (Sarah Chalke) is officially not the mother. She is on the ferry, headed back to New Jersey to spend her life with the father of her child (Jason Jones). Does anyone else feel a little set up with the last two episodes considering the soul searching catharsis Ted (Josh Radnor) experienced, well, twice? Perhaps th...

'How I Met Your Mother': Intervention

October 14th, 2008 10:00am EDT
How I Met Your Mother
I can't tell you how many times over the past few years someone buys an expensive bottle of scotch -- albeit not a twenty-five hundred dollar bottle -- and, at least to me, it tasted like gasoline. At the end of Monday night's episode, we see Ted (Josh Radnor), Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), Robin (Cobie Smulders), Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) celebrating -- in October of 2009 -- with the aforementioned bottle of terrible tasting expensive scotch, over the changes that had (will) occurred over the past (next) year.

Exactly what has changed? We don't really know. We ...

'How I Met Your Mother': NYC vs The Garden State

How I Met Your Mother
I never thought I would ever entertain the idea of living in New Jersey. Ever. That is until Marshall (Jason Segel) gave his extremely convincing monologue on why New York is terrible. But, before we get to that ...

Ted (Josh Radnor), hates New Jersey. He absolutely despises it. Why is this a problem? Ted's fiancé, Stella (Sarah Chalke), lives in New Jersey with her daughter and is expecting Ted to move in with them. For people that do not live in New York City, New Jersey might as well be another planet when it comes to seeing your friends that happen to live there. For some reason th...

The season premiere of 'How I Met Your Mother' was Monday night, but first, let's recap. (FYI, This is not my first experience with writing HIMYM episode recaps, they date back to last season on my personal blog.)

When we left off, Ted (Josh Radnor) had just proposed to Stella (Sarah Chalke) and we were waiting for an answer. Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) had slept with Robin (Cobie Smulders); Marshall (Jason Segal) quit his job at a law firm and is now unemployed as he and his wife Lily (Alyson Hannigan) prepare to move into a new apartment that is ... well ... structurally crooked...

Gossip Girl (The CW, 8 p.m.) - Best part about tonight's season finale, aside from everything? It brings us one step closer to summer in the Hamptons.

How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) - The Mother or not the Mother? That is the question when Ted finds himself reevaluating his relationship with Stella after a car accident in tonig...
