Maggie Q is set to become the latest actress to play Wonder Woman after signing on for a new animated TV series.

The actress will make her debut as the superheroine in Cartoon Network series "Young Justice" on March 24, according to TVGuide.com.

Maggie Q insists she was born to play Wonder Woman: "In my head I am her. No stretch there. When I was a kid, I used to dress up as her. I couldn't afford a costume, so I would make her headband, wristbands and the lasso out of paper and tape it to myself, and run around, climb up roofs and try to jump off them."

We spotted Adrianne Palicki filming "Wonder Woman" in Los Angeles yesterday. And guess what? She's wearing red boots.

Last week the costume was revealed, and fans were outraged by the character's blue boots. Updates to the new costume also include skin-tight blue latex pants (instead of a bikini bottom) and silver bracelets (instead of gold ones).

We spotted Elizabeth Hurley filming a scene for the pilot episode of the TV series "Wonder Woman" yesterday wearing a tight turquoise dress.

Earlier this month Hurley wrote on Twitter, "Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot Wonder Woman. I'll be playing the evil villain. Can't wait."

The pilot must be approved by higher ups before it's ordered to series in May. The original series, starring Lynda Carter, ran on ABC before moving to CBS in the 1970s.

Little known actress Adrianne Palicki has landed one of Hollywood's most coveted roles - she has been picked to play Wonder Woman.

The "Friday Night Lights" star will lead the cast of David E. Kelley's new TV series about the superheroine.

She'll play Diana Prince, a Los Angeles crime fighter who has a double life as a businesswoman, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Palicki will also star in the remake of action film "Red Dawn."
