Jeffrey Dean Morgan And Hilarie Burton Engaged?

March 7th, 2012 5:19pm EST
Jeffrey Dean Morgan
The Watchmen star Jeffrey Dean Morgan is engaged to wed his actress girlfriend Hilarie Burton, according to a new report.

The private couple began dating in 2009 and welcomed its first child, son Gus, in March, 2010 - although they managed to keep the baby news secret for over two months and only opened up about the tot's birth in November.

Now, Star magazine reports Morgan has proposed to Burton, who was spotted wearing a diamond sparkler on her ring finger while attending the Film Independent Spirit Awards last month.

A source tells the publication, "They are engaged."

'White Collar' Recap: 'Judgment Day' (3.16)

February 28th, 2012 11:09pm EST
White Collar
Can you believe it's the White Collar third-season finale already? And are you ready for the answer as to whether or not Neal will be a free man? Well, here we go...

While we open with Neal getting the particulars on the commutation hearing process in a room with no decor (because all important hearings on TV seem to happen in big, open rooms with no decor and are run by unlikable, interchangeable bureaucrats), Peter is stunned to hear that his pal Kramer (Beau Bridges) doesn't just have his sights set on luring Diana to Washington. He wants Neal there, too. Here I think, "Dude, ge...

'White Collar' Recap: 'Pulling Strings' (3.14)

February 7th, 2012 11:04pm EST
White Collar
This week's White Collar brings back some absent characters, introduces some new ones, and mixes them together to create a lackluster outing.

Elizabeth's birthday is coming up, and Peter wants the weekend off "unless someone dies or Neal does something big. Maybe not even if someone dies." He's leaving Diana in charge, even as Diana reveals that she's engaged to her girlfriend Christie. Sounds like everything is going grand, right? Well, until we start talking about a stolen Stradivarius violin...and Neal's now ex-girlfriend Sara Ellis, who thinks her boss Bryan (Bailey Chase) is t...

'White Collar' Recap: 'Neighborhood Watch' (3.13)

January 31st, 2012 11:02pm EST
White Collar
This just isn't Elizabeth Burke's season.

This week's White Collar has Mrs. Suit overhearing plans for a robbery thanks to a scanner Peter left at home. When nothing materializes, Peter and Neal are skeptical, but (of course) Mozzie is more receptive. He and Elizabeth monitor the scanner until they hear the same voices again...right across the street from the Burke home. The new neighbors are Ben (Matt Bomer's Magic Mike co-star Joe Manganiello) and Rebecca Ryan (former Criminal Minds star Lola Glaudini).

Elizabeth coerces Rebecca into inviting her and Peter over for dinner. Plus, ...

White Collar
Oh, White Collar. I love you for your ridiculous charm.

The case of the week sees Neal and Peter approached about potential embezzlement at upper-crust Manhattan Prep. The lead suspect is Andy Woods (Dylan Baker, who's played a bad guy so often we should just assume he's the villain every time he shows up), who's in charge of the school's endowment and may have cartel ties. To check him out, our dynamic duo goes undercover, which leads to plenty of entertaining shenanigans.

Just minutes after their arrival, Neal gets mistaken for a substitute teacher, but rolls with it when he s...

White Collar is back, and we answer the question: where is Elizabeth Burke?

"Checkmate" picks up immediately from the midseason finale, with Mrs. Burke in the hands of now very familiar bad guy Matthew Keller (Ross McCall), who wants to exchange her for the hidden treasure. "You could've walked away," Peter tells Neal angrily, and a recalcitrant Neal admits that "I should be paying for it, not Elizabeth."

Yet when Neal brings Peter to the warehouse where the treasure was, he finds that Mozzie has moved all of it on his own. This means that in order to find Elizabeth, our dynamic d...

Celebrities That Turn 30 in 2012
It's hard to believe for many of us the 1982 was 30 years ago. In that year, Ronald Reagan was President, Joe Montana was the Superbowl XVI MVP and the space shuttle Columbia made its first mission.

In movies, E.T., Tootsie and Gandhi ruled the box office while Chariots of Fire took best picture at the Academy Awards that year. Also taking home Oscar gold for best actor and actress in 1982 respectively were Katharine Hepburn and Henry Fonda for On Golden Pond. In music Michael Jackson released Thriller which sold more than 25 million copies, becoming the biggest selling album in history.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has finally opened up about the arrival of his baby son, more than 18 months after his actress girlfriend Hilarie Burton gave birth.

The couple became proud parents to a little boy last March, but kept the news secret for over two months.

They refused to divulge the tot's name in a bid to "protect" his privacy, but now Morgan has lifted the lid on life with the toddler, who is called Gus.

The actor says, "He just said 'no' for the first time, which is f**ked up. In one week it's just like, 'No, no, no!' But everything is a first. It's been spectacular."

'White Collar' 3.06 'Scott Free' Review

July 12th, 2011 10:03pm EDT
White Collar
Deja vu is the theme of this week's White Collar, and it works - though perhaps not as well as it could have.

When the FBI starts tracking another wily con artist, Scott Rivers (Hutch Dano), everything feels a little familiar - but that's the point. For the characters, and for the audience, it's impossible not to hold the mirror up and draw parallels between Scott's present and Neal's past. Things get complicated when there's an attempt on Scott's life early on, making him equal parts criminal and victim. It's a great concept for an episode, one rife with opportunities for characte...

White Collar
White Collar was a favorite of mine in its first season and parts of the second, but I have to admit that by the end of season two, the shine had started to come off the show for me. As a result, I became very interested in what season three would be - would the show win me back or would we break up?

The third-season premiere starts off in an awkward but not entirely unexpected place, with Neal and Mozzie trying to make a quick escape from Peter and Diana. Four days earlier, Neal's being polygraphed regarding the events of the second-season finale. (I've been polygraphed; this is...

Hands up: how many people were eagerly awaiting this week's White Collar?

Yep, me too.

And it certainly delivered on the comedy front, even if the actual plot was nothing new.

Elizabeth is setting up for an event, when in walks the very grumpy Andrew Stanzler (Richard Schiff, seeming like he's channeling Toby Ziegler from The West Wing). He leaves just as quickly, thankfully. El is soon approached by Stanzler's assistant Brooke, who asks her about her husband working for the FBI.

"How's the world's most interesting evil man?" Peter asks El when she comes home. El explains that Broo...

'White Collar' Makes Hilarie Burton A Regular

White Collar
White Collar promoted someone to series regular - but unfortunately, it wasn't Sharif Atkins.

According to an early report from TVLine, the show has elected to make Hilarie Burton a regular in the upcoming third season (for which it was renewed in September). No details about the decision, or how they plan on utilizing her character, insurance investigator Sara Ellis, are yet available.

I've never been a fan of the character, whom I've felt is redundant due to the existence of Alex Hunter (Gloria Votsis), another foil for Matt Bomer's Neal Caffrey with whom he routinely spars. Nor ...

Despite the disappointment, the writers at least gave each of the cast of characters a positive spin in the end.

A fiction-based show is usually given a title to represent the theme of that week's episode. It can be metaphorical, symbolic or simply literal. Monday night's episode of "One Tree Hill" featured a label entitled "Letting Go." But which storyline or scenario could this have referred to?

Despite fears of the impending baby and Peyton's health, Lucas treated Jamie and Nathan to a day at Keith's old body shop. Now owned and remolded by a different company, it was sad to see the place devoid of Keith and his original auto body shop name. While Jamie bounced excitedly around the shop...

After nearly a two-month hiatus (who else is tired of the random breaks this show takes?), "One Tree Hill" graced our television screens once again. Just in time for an early St. Patrick's Day celebration, the second half of the season gave no reason to raise our glasses in a toast.

Lame. Expecting the show to begin with a few of its typical "get more bang for your buck" moments, I was horrified to find myself actually semi-bored! Not long after the Brooke-beater dramatic arrest, the following "One Tree Hill" storylines seem to have something more in common with two-week old bread than elapsed time: a stale taste.
