'Mad Men' Co-Stars' Secret Wedding

August 6th, 2014 4:14pm EDT
Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser
Mad Men co-stars Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser didn't exactly sell their wedding photos to a magazine when they quietly tied the knot.

In fact, the pair got hitched back in June and now, almost two months later, the cat is finally out of the bag. Her rep confirms to People the two enjoyed a quiet ceremony in June after getting engaged in March of 2013.

Ironically, they met on the set of the hit AMC show and played secret lovers finding a mutual attraction outside their current marriages.

This is the first marriage for the 35-year-old Kartheiser and 32-year-old Bledel.

Review: 'Violet & Daisy's' Top-Notch Cast Seriously Saves The Show

June 6th, 2013 3:20pm EDT
V and D
Over my years as a critic (yeah, I’m getting old!) I’ve always maintained that too much talk can bog a film down.  Meaning endless still chatter instead of forward moving action can make a cinema experience feel like watching a stage play.  The new film "Violet & Daisy" starts off killer, with a style and speed reserved for novices like David Fincher and John Woo, but then tragically turns to talk.  It would have ground the flick to a halt and been destined for the bargain bin if not for one small thing – the performances.

Young gum-chewing teens for hire, Violet and Daisy are a killer co...

Alexis Bledel And Zachary Levi Make The Perfect Pair In 'Remember Sunday'

April 21st, 2013 11:15am EDT
Remember Sunday
Tonight, Hallmark Hall of Fame brings us another movie guaranteed to move you. Remember Sunday is a heartwarming romance where down-on-her-luck waitress Molly thinks she's found her match in jewelry store clerk Gus - except for that Gus has short-term memory issues. What sounds heartbreaking as he can't recall her is also oddly sweet, as Gus essentially falls in love with Molly again every time they meet.

BFTV connected with Remember Sunday's stars, Alexis Bledel (Mad Men, Gilmore Girls) and Zachary Levi (Chuck), to find out what made them fall in love with this charming little TV-movie. W...

14 Of Our Favorite Celebrity Fiveheads

Chrissy Teigen
What's a 'fivehead'? Well, you've heard of a forehead, right? So then a fivehead must be a little bit bigger (there are even a few sixheads out there, as we'll point out later).

Some could be leased out to companies looking to increase their business, and others could be used as weapons. And perhaps some have the gift of echolocation.

We're not saying these people are unattractive because of their copious craniums, its just all in good fun.

You'll also be surprised to find out that absolutely NONE of these images have been photoshopped.

Katie Couric asked fans and readers of the kinky book "Fifty Shades of Grey" to vote for the stars they'd like to see play billionaire Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele on the big screen. The fan favorites? Ian Somerhalder and Alexis Bledel.

"The Vampire Diaries" hunk and former "Gilmore Girls" actress were the clear winners over the likes of Ashley Greene ("Twilight"), Emma Stone ("The Help"), Ryan Gosling ("The Notebook") and Alexander Skarsgard ("True Blood").

Author E.L. James appeared on "Katie" on Monday and said she has her own wish list, but she's keeping it secret. "I have thre...

The 33 year old was spotted in the audience at a performance of Off-Broadway show Regrets, which features Bledel, in March, and just last week the couple was reportedly caught sharing a smooch during a Los Angeles-bound flight from New York.

'Mad Men' Recap: 'Lady Lazarus' And Office Angst

May 7th, 2012 8:26pm EDT
Mad Men
There’s a lot of angst at the heart of ‘Lady Lazarus.’ Megan can’t stand advertising and yearns to return to acting; Pete is apparently unhappy in his marriage and seeks another lover; and Peggy grows upset about Megan’s departure and the way she thinks Don takes it out on her.

Let’s back up. Megan is downright secretive throughout the first half of the episode. She’s clearly hiding something from everyone, but just what is unclear until Peggy catches her in a lie. Megan tells Don that she’s working late, but then tells Peggy that Don wants her home for dinner. A flustered Peggy avoids mul...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Scream 4,' 'Rio,' & More

April 11th, 2011 11:00am EDT
Scream 4
After seeing both “Arthur” and “Your Highness” last week, I could not believe how many other critics assigned them either the same score, or gave “Your Highness” a better grade. I found “Arthur” to be quite enjoyable, playing to Russell Brand’s strengths as my review states; while I thought “Your Highness,” was an immature comedy which fails to use raunchy humor effectively.

This week you’ll have the opportunity to see the long-awaited Wes Craven horror sequel “Scream 4,” the Carlos Saldanha animated adventure “Rio,” the off-beat Keanu Reeves comedy “Henry’s Crime,” and "The Conspirator"...

Bryan Greenberg On HBO's New Comedy 'How To Make It In America'

February 12th, 2010 3:38pm EST
Bryan-Greenberg-How-To-Make-It-In-America
HBO might be billing their new original series, How To Make It In America a comedy, but just like it's star Bryan Greenberg's last HBO show, Unscripted, there are elements that are much more melancholy than laugh out loud funny. Greenberg himself calls his new role of Ben Epstein, struggling graphic designer, "a very complicated guy, and he has a lot of demons."

When we first meet Ben, he has just broken up with a girl (Lake Bell) on whom he is still pretty hung up; he is working a dead-end job as a floor salesman at a department store; and he is in debt with a loan from a guy who just ...

Summer Movie Awards Part 1: Surprise Hit, Biggest Bombs & More

Now that Labor Day has come and gone, the official end to summer has now passed. Yes, the days will now be shorter, the weather cooler (unless you're smart enough to live in Southern California like this column's scribe), and for some school resuming its session, but there's also a lot of good news.

TV is back, football is back, and summer movie season is finally at its end. Yes, no more summer movies, no more endless weekends filled with event films that shatter theater speakers and routinely melt screens with too much rambunctious action. It's a thankful end to a season that routine...

Starpulse Writer Compares Real Life To 'Post Grad'

I've always felt a companionship with Alexis Bledel due to her seven season stint as Rory Gilmore on the sorely missed "Gilmore Girls." I often imagined myself strolling through the Stars Hollow gazebo with Rory and her oh-so-cool mom Lorelai (Lauren Graham) before settling in for a night on their couch, rambling off sarcastic pop culture references at about 912 words a minute.

Now with the release of her new movie "Post Grad" Alexis and I have even more to bond over. I'm in the same situation as her character Ryden Malby, who is a recent college grad who failed to secure her dream job ...

One of the most famous formulas is the one for Coca-Cola. Do you know one of the best things about that formula? It's a secret. Why, oh why, can't movie formulas be secret? You know what a good formula is? The one that creates the eleven herbs and spices of Kentucky Fried Chicken (fine, it's technically a recipe, a point's trying to be made here). It's not finger lickin' good for no reason, mind you. You know what a bad formula is? Ambitious girl with longtime platonic guy friend is too caught up with her own career and her hunky foreign neighbor -- with prerequisite mid-film montages of ha...

Inglourious Basterds
This weekend "500 Days of Summer" became my favorite movie of the season. The film's non-linear style of romantic storytelling works incredibly well. Jumping back and forth through various days in Tom and Summer's relationship is a fascinating way to get to know the couple.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Tom with an awkward charm that other lovesick fools can identify with. Much like a typical heartbroken lover, Tom finds himself bogged down remembering the positive parts of his relationship but forgetting the trials and tribulations.

While the film is not a typical love story filled w...

Starpulse's Explosive Summer Movie Preview

May 1st, 2009 10:06am EDT
Star Trek
Since the dawn of the American cinematic blockbuster in the late 1970s and early 1980s, moviegoers have eagerly waited for May - the unofficial beginning of summertime. This summer is no different. Films, and most popular media, are social mirrors, and this summer season supports that. The large box office contenders all deal with very similar themes: escapism and the support of the lone, outlaw hero figure (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Star Trek, Terminator Salvation, Up, Transformers 2, Public Enemies, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, Inglourious Basterds, et...

Gilmore Girls

During the first season viewers hear Lane (Keiko Agena) talking about her parents, but we never meet her father. In one episode, after Lane moved out, she snuck back home and into her mom's room and only her mother was sleeping in the bed.

Sean Gunn (Kirk) first appeared in the second episode as Mick who was at the Gilmore's house to install the DSL that Emily (Kelly Bishop) ord...

All The Elements Are In Place For 'Jezebel James' To Be A Quality Sitcom

March 18th, 2008 8:44am EDT
The Return of Jezebel James
"The Return of Jezebel James" debuted this week with a two-part premiere featuring the pilot and the series' second episode. FOX, in their infinite wisdom, chose to bury these first two installments in the abyss of the Friday night timeslot, which is really a shame as the series begins on a very strong note.

"James" is the return to television for Amy Sherman-Palladino. She is best as the auteur behind "Gilmore Girls". Previously she wrote for more conventional sitcoms including "Roseanne" and "Veronica's Closet." Her new show brings many of the elements from "Gilmore Girls" into th...

"She said what?" gasped Scott Patterson, who played Luke Danes, the on-again/off-again love interest of Lorelei Gilmore, when Ausiello relayed the information to him over the phone. "I didn't think she would be interested in doing something like that. But if she says she is, I would seriously consider it."
