It's nice to see filmmakers occasionally spin a story of fresh romance for the aging set. Yet it's disappointing that "Last Chance Harvey" casts actors with the craft and chemistry

"Medium" enjoys utilizing its young cast members, the three Dubois daughters, and have often involved their growing psychic gifts as plot devices to move the seasons forward. It was just a few episodes ago that Ariel's dreams about her mother as a teenager helped save a kidnapped girl, and last week Bridgette had a vision about the caller from the credit card company and his apartment being broken into.

You know them, you loathe them. They are the unnecessary, obnoxious and often just plain annoying mid-series additions to established shows. Sure, there are times when a compelling, fresh-faced character is introduced and breathes new life into a series. Unfortunately, those instances are few and far between. Like with most of the television industry, the bad in this case far outweighs the good.

As five women and one enigmatic man meet to discuss the works of Jane Austen, they find their love lives playing out in a 21st century version of her novels.
