DreamWorks Animation announced today that the final cast for its upcoming computer-animated comedy Shrek the Third has been set. Joining the cast is an all-new ensemble of actors and comedians. Making up a new fighting force of fairy tale princesses are: Cheri Oteri as Sleeping Beauty, Amy Poehler as Snow White, Maya Rudolph as Rapunzel, and Amy Sedaris as Cinderella. Ian McShane will play Captain Hook.

Cameron Diaz is Julie Andrews' top choice to play nun Maria in a remake of classic musical The Sound Of Music. Andrews, who played Maria in the popular movie, says the blonde beauty would be perfect as the singing nun tasked with caring for the seven Von Trapp children. The pair grew close while providing voices for animated movie Shrek 3, and Julie says she would love Cameron to take over her famous role in a theatrical version of the film.
