Acclaimed actress June Allyson died yesterday at her Californian home after a long illness. She was 88. Allyson's death has been attributed to pulmonary respiratory failure and acute bronchitis, and she passed away with her husband David Ashrow at her side, according to her daughter Pamela Allyson Powell.
