The future of the struggling Superman franchise is alive and well, according to the latest trailer for Zack Snyder's upcoming reboot, Man of Steel.

The film re-tells the story of how Jor-El (Russell Crowe) sends his son Kal-El to Earth to escape the destruction of their home planet of Krypton.

The biggest event of the year in Hollywood took place on Sunday night - The 85th Annual Academy Awards - and the stars primped and preened for their red carpet appearances.

Three-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams is to make her mark on the New York stage after signing on to make her major Big Apple theatrical debut in a revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's "Into The Woods".

The Doubt star will play the Baker's Wife this summer in the Public Theater production of the beloved musical in Central Park, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The younger Eastwood will play a minor league hopeful who attracts the eye of the Gran Turino star's scout character in Robert Lorenz's directorial debut, according to Variety.
