CBS today announced plans to make TV history by partnering with TiVo Inc. to launch a new Fall show in an entirely original way -- not via a network premiere, a DVD, or the Internet, but on the TiVo service. TiVo subscribers will be the first in the nation to see the hot comedy CBS show The Class as early as a full week before its premiere on live TV.

James Woods has dumped his 20-year-old girlfriend, Ashley Madison, after the stress from the May-December relationship sent him to the emergency room. The 59-year-old star was distraught after his brother Michael died unexpectedly of a heart attack last month and was shocked by Madison's insensitivity during his funeral.

Shooting on James Woods new TV series "Shark" has been halted after the sudden death of the actor's younger brother Michael Jeffrey Woods. Woods' immediately flew out to the family home in Rhode Island after receiving the news of his 49-year-old brother's fatal heart attack while on set.

According to the NAACP, with the cancellation of the Bernie Mac Show, for the first time in recent history, there is not a comedy with an African-American lead character left on the big four networks. When it comes to returning sitcoms and the announced new comedies, African Americans are missing in action.

While the genre is not as popular as it once was, there is not a shortage of sitcoms on the schedule. Out of the nearly 20 sitcoms on network television this fall, it is unconscionable that there is not an African American lead among them.

James Woods has been given the all-clear after undergoing tests for chest pains. The actor - who was nominated for Oscars for his roles in Salvador and Ghosts of Mississippi - went into hospital for an angiogram on Monday.

Doctors who performed the procedure said no blockages, or "anything to cause concern", had been found and gave the star a clean bill of health. He is now back at his California home recuperating.

The 59-year-old star's spokesman, Ron Hoffmann, told People magazine: "He was in and out of the hospital but now he's home and he's fine."
