'The Crazy Ones' Pilot Review: Williams, Gellar, And Wolk Make A Great Team

September 27th, 2013 11:16am EDT
The Crazy Ones
Robin Williams can play zany, funny, outrageous, schizophrenic, ground, sad, animated genie, crazy homeless guy, and by play I don't mean he can play each individually. Williams can play all at the same in a mad burst of energy. Robin William’s style isn't for everyone. He's super-charged. He's like the only actor who lended his voice to an animated character who was more bombastic than the animated character. I think Robin Williams would wear the genie out.

Robin Williams stars in David E. Kelley's newest sitcom about a down-on-its-luck advertising agency that's losing credibility and cli...

5 Underappreciated TV Actors: Where Are They Now?

April 14th, 2013 1:00pm EDT
Fairly Legal
In December, I gave you my list of five TV actors deserving of more notice this year. With 2013 more than a quarter of the way over, it's time to check the results. Where are these talented folks now? Did they get the extra attention they should have? And who else is poised to reach the next level?

1. Michael Trucco

You Know Him From: USA's Fairly Legal, Syfy's Battlestar Galactica

Why He Made The List: He was the MVP of Fairly Legal. While Sarah Shahi was deservedly center stage in the USA original series as mediator Kate Reed, he was her perfect foil as Kate's ex-husband and frequent...

Happy Birthday: Adam Levine & James Wolk

March 22nd, 2013 6:00am EDT
Adam Levine
Two BFTV favorites celebrated their birthdays this week, so let's wish them the best!

Maroon 5 front man and The Voice coach Adam Levine turned 34 on Monday. The three-time Grammy winner remains one of the busiest people in music. In addition to his duties with Maroon 5, over the last year Adam collaborated with 50 Cent and Eminem on the single "My Life," participated in two more seasons of the hit NBC series, made his acting debut on FX's American Horror Story: Asylum, signed his Voice Season 2 finalist Tony Lucca to his record label, hosted Saturday Night Live, and debuted his celebrity ...

Celebrity Valentines for 2013

February 14th, 2013 8:30am EST
Adam Levine
Ah, Valentine's Day. It's a holiday all about love. While it's generally taken to be reserved for that special someone in your life, there are other kinds of love, too - like showing some love for your favorite celebrities. Here's BFTV's list of the celebrities I've fallen in love with and why I want to give them a little extra appreciation this year. Not only are they talented at what they do, but they're also pretty fantastic people.

In alphabetical order:

Jamie Bamber: I waited a couple of years to meet the Monday Mornings star, during which I heard from several mutual friends and fans...

James Wolk: The One to Watch in 2013

February 11th, 2013 9:15am EST
James Wolk
James Wolk is the best actor whose name you don't know. But you've seen him. You've seen his performances, which have been great from the start and have just kept getting better. Not only is he consistent, but that intangible quality that others aspire to, he has. Whether it's a supporting part in a movie or a leading role on television, he's elevated every project that he's been in. Oh, and he's also one of Hollywood's true gentlemen. Now, in 2013, there's no limit to what he can do.

He's no overnight success, either. He's worked his way to the top of his craft, and the rise began with a ...

5 Television Actors Deserving of More Notice in 2013

December 26th, 2012 9:00am EST
Michael Trucco
Now that Christmas is over, it's time to look forward to the New Year and new entertainment. With that comes the opportunity to hopefully see some familiar faces again, and there are several that I've got my fingers crossed for. These five actors have distinguished themselves in television roles in the recent past, and deserve more of our attention - and hopefully to be back on our small screens - in 2013.

1. Michael Trucco: Former Battlestar Galactica star Michael Trucco did a complete 180 two seasons ago when he stepped into the role of Assistant District Attorney Justin Patrick on USA...

Q&A: 'Happy Endings' Guest Star James Wolk

February 8th, 2012 6:00pm EST
Happy Endings
ABC's Happy Endings is celebrating Valentine's Day early - and giving us the gift of James Wolk as Max's (Adam Pally) ex-boyfriend, Grant.

Best known as the lead on FOX's critically acclaimed but very short-lived Lone Star, James recently dropped by to talk about what it's like to work on a show that you're a fan of and what he thinks of the holiday.

What attracted you to this character?

I was a fan of the show prior to being on it. I had just finished working on a play and we started to talk to the Happy Endings folks. There was interest from both sides, which was exciting, because ...

'Lone Star' Gets The Axe

September 29th, 2010 8:16am EDT
Lone Star
Jon Voight's latest TV show Lone Star has been axed after just two episodes despite a public plea from the series creator urging fans to help save the series.

The program, which follows a man's secret double life, debuted in America earlier this month to disappointing viewing figures.

Creator Kyle Killen pleaded with fans to tune in to the second episode in a bid to help the program "survive".

However, now bosses at TV network Fox have confirmed they are pulling the show off the air after Lone Star's second episode received even fewer viewers than the first installment.
