If there's one thing you can be sure of, it's people getting angry over who was and wasn't in the In Memoriam presentation at The Oscars. This year was no different, with fans upset that Cory Monteith, Dennis Farina, and others were looked over during the telecast - but do they really have a reason to be upset?

In the case of Cory Monteith, it was obvious he was going to be left off the list. Cory was known for his time on Glee and not for his movie roles. He received a beautiful tribute at the Emmys.

Comedy legend Jonathan Winters passed away Thursday at the age of 87 and since then tributes and memories have been pouring in from many stars, including Steve Martin, Albert Brooks and Dick Van Dyke.

Now actor Robin Williams, who starred alongside Winters in the fourth season of the 80's sitcom Mork & Mindy, has weighed in calling him an "amazing friend."

Williams posted to his Facebook page, "First he was my idol, then he was my mentor and amazing friend. I'll miss him huge (sic). He was my Comedy Buddha. Long live the Buddha."

Following comedian Joanthan Winters' death on Thursday, several celebrities have paid tribute to the star, including Steve Martin, Albert Brooks and Dick Van Dyke. Winters, 87, died of natural causes in Montecito, Calif.
 
Martin tweeted: "Goodbye, Jonathan Winters. You were not just one of the greats, but one of the great greats."

Brooks posted, "R.I.P Jonathan Winters. Beyond funny, He invented a new category of comedic genius."
 
Van Dyke wrote, "The first time I saw Jonathan Winters perform, I thought I might as well quit the business. Because, I could never be as brilliant."

Legendary Comedian Jonathan Winters Dies At 87

Legendary film and TV funnyman Jonathan Winters has passed away at his Montecito, California, home at the age of 87. Winters died of natural causes Thursday night and was surrounded by friends and family, according to TMZ.com.

The actor was born in Dayton, Ohio, on November 11, 1925. He quit school at 17 and joined the Marine Corps, serving during World War II. When he returned home after the war he went to college and attended art school, where he met his wife, Eileen Schauder. The couple married in 1948 and spent the next 60 years together before Eileen's death in 2009.

The first official trailer for The Smurfs In 3D has been released, and you can watch it right here.
