It's always shocking when a celebrity reveals he or she has battled a major health crisis. Angelina Jolie revealed in a 2012 article in The New York Times that she had a double mastectomy to prevent breast cancer.

Doctors told the actress she carried the "faulty" gene BRCA1 and had an 87 percent risk of developing the disease. Jolie's mother died at age 56 from ovarian cancer.

Former TV host Montel Williams has heaped praise on fellow multiple sclerosis sufferer Jack Osbourne, urging fans to show their support to the new dad, who announced he has the muscular disease last weekend.

Williams reveals he has been talking to the reality TV action man and his manager/mother Sharon in recent weeks after learning of Osbourne's medical issues, and he insists the young Brit is a "true inspiration."

Beloved former talk show host Montel Williams has accepted a job as a consultant with a medical marijuana dispensary in California.

The TV personality is hoping his involvement will help give the state's marijuana industry a boost and encourage others to go about business in a professional manner.

At a press conference in Sacramento on Monday, Williams announced his plans to work with bosses at the Albatin Wellness Cooperative, telling reporters, "We want to provide safe access for patients... and I want this to be some place your mother and father could see themselves walk into."

A judge in Wisconsin has dismissed a citation against TV host Montel Williams after he was fined for possessing drug paraphernalia for carrying a pipe through an airport.

The star was handed a $484 ticket back in January when Sheriff's deputies at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee found him with a pipe commonly associated with smoking pot.

Williams, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and is a medical marijuana activist, paid the fine, but disputed the citation and the case went to court on Tuesday.

Talk show host Montel Williams is in trouble with tax officials after allegedly failing to hand over $1 million in payments.

The TV personality has been hit with a federal tax lien by bosses at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in connection with his 2008 and 2009 individual tax returns.

According to the papers, filed with the New York City Register and obtained by, Williams and his wife, Tara, owe payments totalling $1.04 million for the two-year period.
