With his wild red curls, blue eyes, and cute freckled face, Johnny Whitaker was a popular child star during the late '60s through the early '70s who started out with a major role in Norman_Jewison's The_Russians_Are_Coming,_The_Russians_Are_Coming! (1966). The same year he landed the role of little Jodie on the syrupy sitcom Family Affair (1966-1971). In 1971, he appeared as a demonically possessed boy in Steven_Spielberg's made-for-television film Something Evil. The following year, he contracted with Disney Studios and appeared in a string of live-action features. A devout Mormon, Whitaker attended Brigham Young University during the mid-'70s, but left to go on a two-year mission. He then become involved with computers and no longer performs.
