Ted Danson Recalls Skipping Work & Getting High With 'Cheers' Cast

September 28th, 2012 9:24am EDT
Ted Danson
Several years ago, Ted Danson, Woody Harrelson, George Wendt and John Ratzenberger didn't show up to the set of "Cheers" because they wanted to get high.

The actors called in sick and went boating off the coast of California instead. Danson told GQ magazine, "The guys were just (like), 'Let's play hooky.' We'd never done anything wrong before. John had a boat, so we met at Marina del Rey at 8 a.m. We all called in sick."

Their leisurely day off turned bad quickly after too much drug use and a hurricane caused problems.

"Woody and I were already stoned, and Woody said, 'You want to try so...

Day Eleven: December 6 2009 - 12 Men of Christmas

Scott Adsit Talks With Starpulse About His Show, '30 Rock'

April 16th, 2009 10:09am EDT
Scott Adsit
In the pilot episode of the Emmy Award winning 30 Rock, Scott Adsit's character, Pete Hornberger, is fired. In an example of art imitating life, Scott himself was, at least at first, also being cut from the show. While Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) was trying to save Pete's job from Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) on camera, Tina Fey was trying to save Scott's job in the cast from Executive Producer Lorne Michaels, off camera. Scott was nice enough to discusses with us that very incident along with his roots at Second City, his time on Mr. Show, his favorite moments on 30 Rock and answers some reader qu...

In The End: Best Series Finales

February 20th, 2008 1:15pm EST
Star Trek The Next Generation
The series finale. There is nothing quite like it in television. Many shows aren't given the luxury of a proper final episode, instead they are canceled prematurely and often without advanced notice. Often times those series exit after airing just a normal episode, or even worse - a cliffhanger. Then there is another group, and it consists of popular and long running series' that either go out on their own terms or are given warning of their impending doom.

We are not going to concern ourselves with the first group; after all it is hard to criticize the creative decisions of writ...
