Seven years after being fired from "Grey's Anatomy," actor Isaiah Washington will be making a guest appearance on the medical drama.

Washington made headlines in 2006 over a gay slur he allegedly made about gay co-star T.R. Knight during an on-set argument. Even though he apologized for his "unfortunate use of words," producers decided not to renew his contract at the end of season three in 2007.

Ellen Pompeo has pulled no punches in an interview with the New York Post about Katherine Heigl's exit from "Grey's Anatomy" and the writer's desire to pair her character, Meredith Grey, with Isaiah Washington's Dr. Preston Burke.

Heigl left the series in 2010, and Pompeo explained: "You could understand why she wanted to go - when you're offered $12 million a movie and you're only 26. But Katie's problem is that she should not have renewed her contract. She re-upped, took a big raise and then tried to get off the show. And then her movie career did not take off."

Isaiah Washington's financial woes refuse to go away - the actor is facing a lawsuit from his bank after allegedly falling behind with loan repayments.

The former Grey's Anatomy star, who was fired from the hit medical drama in 2007 for using a derogatory term to describe gay actor T.R. Knight, is being sued by City National Bank bosses, who claim he has yet to repay a $100,000 loan he took out in 2008, according to TMZ.com.

The website reports the bank is demanding the full amount, as well as interest and penalties.
