I was forwarded this email from my mother and I just thought everyone should read it.. Don't know whether you heard about this but Denzel Washington and his family visited the troops at Brook Army Medical Center, in San Antonio,Texas (BAMC) the other day. This is where soldiers who have been evacuated from Germany come to be hospitalized in the United States, especially burn victims. There are some buildings there called Fisher Houses. The Fisher House is a Hotel where soldiers' families can stay, for little or no charge, while their soldier is staying in the Hospital. BAMC has quite a few of these houses on base, but as you can imagine, they are almost filled most of the time. While Denzel Washington was visiting BAMC they gave him a tour of one of the Fisher Houses. He asked how much one of them would cost to build. He took his check book out and wrote a check for the full amount right there on the spot. The soldiers overseas were amazed to hear this story and want to get the word out to the American public, because it warmed their hearts to hear it. The question I have is why does: Alec Baldwin, Madonna, Sean Penn, and other Hollywood types make front page news with their anti-everything America trash, and Denzel Washington's Patriotism doesn't even make page 3 in the Metro section of any newspaper except the Local newspaper in San Antonio. | ||

Denzel Washngton is a phenominal person. He has earned his status as a successful black man. I love him because he has class, very versititle aftor and a great family man. Also and most of all he is a FANTASTIC roll model for all young black man. I wish I could get to know him personally. I loved all his movies except Training Day. It bothered me to see him in that type of roll. But then again once more he's proved that he can play any roll. He's one of a kind and NO ONE CAN TOUCH HIM. I am a single parent of a son who is 11 years old and my son loves him as well. Everything Denzel does is top rate. I wish I could correspond with him. | Are you kidding me, he is such a great actor.. I am a 42 year old mother of a 21 and 14 year old and I guess my kids think I am a little star struck. Every movie he does I am there on opening day I am also looking forward to seeing "American Gangster". I enjoy every movie he does and it's easy to sit there and look at him since he is easy on the eyes. It seems that the older he gets the better looking he is. My kids just showed me how to open up a "My Space Page" and needless to say he is on my background. I am looking forward to his lastest movie and I am sure I will enjoy it. | ||
