"A new era has begun. The age of the Transformers is over," says a voice during the latest TV spot for Transformers: Age of Extinction.

But thanks to Cade Yeager's (Mark Wahlberg) discovery of a familiar old and defunct Autobot and bringing it to life again, it appears that the assumption of the narrator is wrong, and the robots from Cybertron are getting ready to wage yet another war on Earth.

Someone is searching for Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots, for an unnamed reason, and when an envoy shows up at Wahlberg's home his Transformer quickly springs to life.

Mark Wahlberg's new reality TV show Breaking Boston has been pulled from the air after just one episode.

The programme, which followed the lives of four blue collar Boston women, debuted on America's A&E network last week (13Mar14), but it failed to attract enough of an audience and TV executives have since removed it from their broadcasting schedule, citing "underperformance".

The premiere episode had just 311,000 viewers, according to data company Nielsen.

Director, Pete Berg claims he spent most of his time trying to prevent the actor whilst filming dangerous scenes in the war-epic, but almost "lost" him following a mishap with explosives.
