The 37-year-old actor claims he always knew his former 'Dawson's Creek' co-star, 33, who has been nominated for three Oscars, would eventually become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood because she is multi-talented.

Jon Voight has replaced Sir Anthony Hopkins in Andy Garcia's new Ernest Hemingway biopic.

Garcia announced the casting change while promoting his new film At Middleton earlier this week (beg27Jan14), stating, "Mr. Hopkins is no longer playing Hemingway."

Garcia will play Gregorio Fuentes, the boat captain who inspired the title character in his book The Old Man & The Sea, and he admits Hopkins' decision to quit the project has not dampened his enthusiasm for the film, titled Hemingway & Fuentes.

Angelina Jolie's family are setting up a charity to promote cancer education.
The 'Maleficent' actress - who underwent a double mastectomy earlier this year after being diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene - will be involved with the Marcheline Debra and Raleigh Foundation, which is named in honor of her mother, aunt and uncle, who all died of cancer, her uncle Ron Martin has revealed.

Actor Jon Voight has written to a New York judge pleading for leniency in a producer pal's gambling ring sentencing.

Bryan Zuriff, who works behind the scenes on Voight's hit new U.S. TV drama Ray Donovan, faces a year behind bars for his part in an online sports betting syndicate reportedly tied to Russian gangsters.

He will learn his fate on 25 November (13) after pleading guilty, but ahead of his sentencing, the executive producer has written a letter to New York judge Jesse M. Furman begging for mercy.
