Abe Vigoda Dies At 94

Abe Vigoda Dead: 'Godfather' And 'Barney Miller' Star Was 94
Actor Abe Vigoda, best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "Barney Miller" has died. The actor was 94 years old.

Vigoda, according to his daughter Carol Vigoda Fuchs, told the Associated Press via Entertainment Tonight that her father died in his sleep of natural causes.

"This man was never sick," Fuchs said.

Vigoda was best known for his role as the wisecracking detective Fish in the long-running television series "Barney Miller."

The character was so popular that he had a spinoff show called "Fish," which aired from 1977 to1978.

Bob Saget's spoof Farce Of The Penguins has begun to attract major talent in the starring voiceover roles as well as a veritable Who's Who of comedy in its many cameos. Samuel L. Jackson has been signed to narrate the picture.
