Matthew Vaughn Is Set To Direct 'The Secret Service'
The X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn has struck a deal with 20th Century Fox to distribute his latest project The Secret Service - a big screen adaptation of Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons' comic book series of the same name - and the movie is expected to be released in November 2014, reports Deadline.
The film reunites Vaughn with Millar and long-time writing partner Jane Goldman, who all worked together on 2010's Kick-Ass, based on Millar's popular comic book series. The director has already written the script with Goldman, and the film will be produced and financed by his own co...

Chloe Moretz's Hit Girl To Waste More Bad Guys In 'Kick-Ass 2'
In 2010, director Matthew Vaughn ("X-Men: First Class") co-wrote, directed, and self-financed a superhero movie all true-blue comic book fans could believe in, one with swears, huge body counts and a 10-year-old girl who murders criminals.
Now, after a couple years of intense speculation, "Kick-Ass" is getting a sequel, and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Vaughn is shopping it to Universal as opposed to his Lionsgate partners on the previous entry. The actors who brought a wired energy to the characters of wannabe vigilantes Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson), Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plass...

(Oh, and even though they bested all four DC and Marvel characters at the box office, we’re not counting the Transformers or Harry Potter, okay?)

Claudia Schiffer Launched Fashion Line For Her Children
Supermodel Claudia Schiffer set up her new fashion company to create a lasting legacy she can pass on to her kids.
The German beauty has launched a luxury collection of cashmere clothing, inspired by her outfits as a working mother, and she is adamant the label will not be a passing fad because she wants to hand down a profitable company to her three kids with moviemaker husband Matthew Vaughn.
She tells Reuters, "I don't want this to be a celebrity line. It is meant to be a lasting business not a quick celebrity licensing line... I want the product to live without my name so that it do...

Michael Fassbender Finally Hits The Big Time With ‘X-Men: First Class’
Though he is still relatively unknown to most audiences right now, after this weekend Michael Fassbender will officially be one of the biggest movie stars in the world. He stars as Erik Lehnsherr a.k.a. Magneto in the comic book origin story “X-Men: First Class.” His performance as the metal-bending, vengeance-seeking mutant will definitely be the performance people will be talking about after seeing the movie.
The German-born actor had his big break in the TV mini-series “Band of Brothers” which was produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. Fassbender continued working steadily in Briti...

'X-Men First Class' Earns An 'A' And Resurrects Sinking Franchise
“X-Men: First Class” has the pop and style and comic book action and humor beloved in this genre. Director Matthew Vaughn, who cut his chops on the hyper-visceral, hyper-violent “Kick-Ass” has accomplished something sort of great here. He’s resurrected a sinking franchise.
Starting in sunny Nazi occupied Poland, we meet the young Erik as he is ripped away from his mother by SS officers. So desperate to be with her, Erik unleashes his magnetic powers for the first time, mentally bending and contorting the metal fence keeping them apart.

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'X-Men:First Class,' 'Beginners,' & More
Last week I had the opportunity to see “The Hangover Part II,” the sequel to the wildly successful 2009 hit comedy. Director Todd Philips does not really change the formula for the film or the format in which he tells the story, but there are still plenty of laughs to be found. Check out my review if you haven’t already.
This week you’ll have the chance to see what Professor X and Magneto used to be like in the prequel “X-Men: First Class,” you could follow along with Ewan McGregor as he deals with his father’s coming out in “Beginners,” you can laugh as the teenager Oliver Tate atte...

Attorney Blasts Claims That Matthew Vaughn Fathered January Jones' Child
An attorney for Matthew Vaughn has slammed an online report suggesting the married filmmaker is the father of actress January Jones' unborn baby.
Pregnant Jones recently announced she is expecting her first child later this year, just months after splitting from comedian Jason Sudeikis, but she has so far refused to name the child's dad.
Vaughn, the husband of supermodel Claudia Schiffer, found himself at the center of speculation this week when sources told E! News the director had developed a "very close relationship" with Jones while shooting their new action movie X-Men: First Class...

Oscar-Nominee Jennifer Lawrence Is Hollywood's Next Big Star
Jennifer Lawrence heats up the new issue Of GQ magazine by stripping down to her underwear for a sexy photo shoot. The 20-year-old up-and-comer stars in this summer's X-Men: First Class, as the shape-shifting Mystique.
Jennifer takes over the role made famous by Rebecca Romijn for the franchise's prequel, which takes place before Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto become enemies and their team of mutants team up to save the world from nuclear annihilation.

Chloe Moretz Will Be 'Emily The Strange'
Chloe Grace Moretz has been on a fast track to stardom since her break out role as Hit Girl in ‘Kick-Ass’. Yesterday it was announced she will star as ‘Emily the Strange’ in a live action adaptation of the Dark Horse Comic that was created by Rob Regar, with Universal distributing. The film is expected to center on the origin of the gothic teen and her four strange cats.
Moretz herself took to her twitter account to confirm the news and I have to say, they couldn’t have picked a more fitting and wonderful actress to play the brooding and macabre Emily. I don’t know if Moretz is handpi...

January Jones As Emma Frost Set Pics From 'X-Men: First Class'
Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class is finally underway and as I reported a few weeks back, January Jones was signed on to portray the White Queen, Emma Frost. Well low and behold, we have some set pictures of Jones in full costume shooting some scenes and from what I can see here, her look definitely has me skeptical. It looks like she’s wearing a hefty bag with a funny Russian ushanka sitting atop her pretty head and maybe that's why she has a sour look on her face. Or maybe it's because she looks like a human Q-Tip.
I know Vaughn went with home-made looking costumes for Kick-Ass, but...

January Jones Is Emma Frost In 'Xmen Origins: First Class'
Today Variety reported that Mad Men's January Jones signed on to play telepath Emma Frost in Xmen Origins: First Class. The movie, being directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass) will tell the story of Professor X and Magneto's early friendship and how they evolved into archenemies. The movie is also starring Zoe Kravitz (It’s Kind of a Funny Story) as Angel, Jason Flemyng (Snatch) as Azazel, Bill Bilner (Son of Rambow) as an even younger Magneto, and Morgan Lily (2012) as a young Raven.
The movie is slated for a June, 2011 release.

Chloe Moretz Doesn’t Just Play Dress Up In ‘Kick-Ass’
“Kick-Ass” burst into theaters in early 2010 to rave reviews from critics and fans alike. The movie, which is based on Mark Millar’s comic book, focuses on a group of superheroes. But unlike Superman, Batman and Spiderman, these crime fighters are all kids. The movie is heavy on the fighting and superhero escapades but also on the language the young actors use throughout the film.
Chloe Moretz, who plays Hit Girl, got plenty of attention with the especially colorful language her character uses in several key scenes. The 13-year-old Moretz, who had a surprisingly mature performance in 2009’...

James McAvoy Joins 'The X-Men'
James McAvoy has joined the X-Men - he will step into Patrick Stewart's role of Charles Xavier in the upcoming prequel. The Scottish actor will play a younger version of Stewart's character, also known as Professor X, in X-Men: First Class, which will chart the beginnings of the superhero saga.
The movie will focus on the early years of Xavier and Erik Lensherr, who later became known as magnetic mutant Magneto and was played by Ian McKellen in the blockbuster trilogy. It is not yet known who will play the younger version of McKellen's character.

'Kick-Ass' Lives Up To Its Name
Matthew Vaughn’s “Kick-Ass” features young superheroes but don’t be mistaken; this is NOT a movie for kids. These protagonists inhabit a world riddled with violent crime, where the average citizens are sheep. The general public is more interested in watching others being victimized than stepping in to help. Our heroes in “Kick-Ass” are tired of sitting back while evil men carry out vile deeds, and they are willing to fight fire with fire to take down the bad guys.

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies- 'Kick-Ass,' 'Death At A Funeral' & More
Thursday night I had the opportunity to see the rock n roll biopic “The Runaways” about the female 70s rock band featuring Joan Jett and Cherie Currie. The film effectively establishes the era with all its drug-addled and grungy glory. It paints the rise of the band as a whirlwind experience that ends almost as quickly as it starts. This concept is well-conveyed through Floria Sigismondi’s Dutch angles and spinning shots.

Claudia Schiffer's Husband Fears A Fan Will Kill Her
Moviemaker Matthew Vaughn is petrified his wife Claudia Schiffer will be assassinated like late Beatle legend John Lennon after a series of obsessed fans targeted the supermodel.
In 2002 an Italian man was sectioned under the Mental Health Act after turning up at the beauty's home in Suffolk, England nine times, while in 2004 a Canadian man had to be deported from Britain twice after also turning up at the couple's property.
However, one particular incident left the film producer shaken and fearing the model could be killed like Lennon, who was shot dead outside his New York home in 198...

Layer Cake director Matthew Vaughn is in talks to direct the big screen adaptation of comic book character Thor. The English filmmaker, husband to supermodel Claudia Schiffer, admits he has been discussing the possibility of making a live action version of the blond-haired Marvel superhero.
