James Van Der Beek will star in the "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" spin-off "CSI: Cyber." The TV veteran will star alongside Patricia Arquette, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The program is based on the work of a real-life cyberpsychologist. Arquette will play Special Agent Avery Ryan, who heads the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI, while Van Der Beek plays Elijah Mundo, an expert in battlefield forensics.

Peter MacNicol and harley Koontz will also star in "CSI: Cyber."

Former Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek is celebrating after becoming a dad again on Tuesday.

The actor's wife Kimberly gave birth to the couple's second child, a son, and the proud father took to his Twitter.com page to announce the happy news to fans.

He tweeted, "Had my first son this morning... well, actually, my wife had him. I just caught him. Wow. Heart expanding way faster than my brain.

"If you could bottle up and distribute this feeling, I swear there'd be no more war... fatherhood."

The happy news comes less than a month after the former "Dawson's Creek" star reached a divorce settlement with his ex-wife, actress Heather Ann McComb.

Van Der Beek and his new partner Kimberly Brook are expecting their first child later this year.
