Jimmy Fallon Stages Yet Another Epic Reunion

9/24/2015 9:17am EDT
Jimmy Fallon Sets Up Epic 'Keenan And Kel' Reunion On 'The Tonig
Jimmy Fallon set up an epic Nickelodeon reunion of two of the biggest stars of the '90s, Keenan and Kel.

Leave it to "The Tonight Show" host to continue to tap into fans biggest childhood memories and bring them back to life.

Kel Mitchell was in the midst of an appearance on the late night talk show to promote his new Nickelodeon series, "Game Shakers" when the magic began to unfold.

Magically, as if Fallon were reading our minds, he managed to get former "Saturday Night Live" co-star and good pal Kenan Thompson to hop on over from Studio 8A and make an appearance.

Thank you Jimmy Fallo...

Dakota Johnson Hosts SNL With Musical Guest Alabama Shakes -- Watch All The Highlights!

3/1/2015 4:00am EST
Saturday Night Live
"SNL" returned to its regularly scheduled time slot after its 40th anniversary and … this episode didn't feel like the comedown show after a big special so much as it felt like the type of episode that follow the ones that preceded it.

Fresh off the record-breaking box-office of "Fifty Shades of Grey," Dakota Johnson stopped by to host for the first time, on a series that is still strongly favoring original material, and at its best when that material gets weird (which usually happens with the pre-recorded shorts).

Johnson brought a surprising and surprisingly effective mellow charm that ...

Kenan Thompson To Leave SNL After This Season
Kenan Thompson has decided to leave "Saturday Night Live" at the end of this season to move to Los Angeles with his wife and new baby.

TMZ reported that the actor/comedian will be leaving the long-running live series, now entering its 40th season, at the end of this year. According to reports, Thompson wanted to leave at the end of last season, but producer Lorne Michaels asked him to remain as the show transitioned its new cast.

An "SNL" spokesperson called theTMZ story "inaccurate." According to the rep, "the season hasn’t even started and cast decisions aren’t made until the end of the...

The Voice Finale - And It's Jermaine for the Win
Host Carson Daly welcomes us to The Voice finale. There have been three months of blind auditions, battles and live performances. Four contestants - Jermaine Paul, Tony Lucca, Chris Mann and Juliet Simms - have given everything they’ve got to win over their coaches and the viewing audience. The four celebrity coaches - Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton, and Christina Aguilera - have done their best to pick winning vocalists, and to nurture the musical talents to this peak point.

It’s all over but the two hours that our poor finalists will have to endure before discovering just ...

Channing Tatum Shakes His Booty, Licks The Pole On 'SNL' Skit

2/6/2012 9:11am EST
Channing Tatum on SNL
Channing Tatum revisited his stripper past on "Saturday Night Live" by peeling off for a series of skits.

The star, who has turned his experiences in Florida's clubs into a new movie, kicked off his guest hosting stint on the show, which aired on Saturday, by showing off some of his former dance moves and ripping open his shirt to reveal a toned torso.

He also portrayed a cheesy dancer, called Nick Ersweat, in a sketch at the end of the show, ripping off his vest, lying on the floor and kicking his legs in the air as he tried to entertain a group of straight-faced Asian women.

Tatum also...

Kenan Thompson
Former child star-turned-comedian Kenan Thompson is engaged to wed his model girlfriend.

The 33-year-old funnyman, a regular on comedy show "Saturday Night Live," recently proposed to Christina Evangeline.

But Evangeline won't be Thompson's fiancee for long - the couple is hoping to wed on November 11.

90s Nickelodeon Stars: Then And Now

8/1/2011 3:00pm EDT
Kenan And Kel
TeenNick is re-airing all of the favorite shows from the 90s in a programming block entitled "The 90s Are All That," so we figured we would look back on a trio of stars to see how much they have changed!

Kenan Thompson: Kenan was relatively unknown to older audiences tuning into Saturday Night Live, but those who watched him perform for years on Nick knew that he was going to shine. He's a bit different than the kid starring on Kenan and Kel, All That, and Good Burger.

Amanda Bynes: How long has Amanda Bynes been on television? All That was making fun of Ross Perot when she was on the c...

3/14/2011 12:00pm EDT
Zach Galifianakis
Zach Galifianakis is quickly earning a spot on the list of best Saturday Night Live hosts. After an acclaimed appearance in March of 2010, Zach returned Saturday and reminded us why he is one of the funniest men in comedy. Here are the best moments from the episode.

March Madness: The cold open featured the other tournament everyone is talking about: the Crazy bracket. Who's the craziest person in the world? Greg Gumbel (Kenan Thompson) and Jim Nance (Jason Sudeikis) break it down - with an appearance from Bill Hader's brilliant take on Charlie Sheen.

Miley Cyrus Mocks Fergie in Hilarious 'Saturday Night Live' Black Eyed Peas Sketch (Video)

3/6/2011 3:40pm EST
Miley Cyrus
There were a lot of good things about this week's Saturday Night Live, and one of them - perhaps the funniest skit on Saturday's show - featured first-time host Miley Cyrus putting her singing voice to good use while mocking Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie.

Cast regulars Kenan Thompson and Andy Sandberg played the two 'other guys' in the group - and Taboo, respectively - hosting their own talk show which gets crashed by Fergie (Cyrus) and BEPs frontman (either totally downplayed or just unconvincingly by Jay Pharaoh).

And who did the "b-list BEPs" have on their "show" as...

Miley Cyrus is Hosting This Week's 'Saturday Night Live' (Video)

3/2/2011 5:29pm EST
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus is set to host this week's episode of Saturday Night Live, which also features musical guest The Strokes.

The Hannah Montana star shot a short promo for her spot on the show with cast member Kenan Thompson and even hinted that she's ready to take on making fun of herself - referencing the show's ongoing bit "The Miley Cyrus Show," in which cast member Vanessa Bayer plays the role of Miley and Hall Pass star and SNL regular Jason Sudeikis plays her dad, Billy Ray.

Miley says, "It's pretty cool," in the promo, which leads us to believe that she's up for poking a little fun at he...

Kenan Thompson Embroiled In Drunken Altercation

2/24/2010 2:45pm EST
Kenan Thompson
A recent New York dinner date turned sour for comedian Kenan Thompson when he was caught up in an altercation with a drunken diner.

The Snakes on a Plane star was eating at Lower East Side restaurant Avenue A Sushi with "a very attractive woman," when an intoxicated man rudely attempted to get his attention.

A source tells the New York Daily News, "Kenan just brushed him off, but then the guy patted the top of Kenan's head like you would a little kid. At that point, Kenan got in the guy's face."

However, the star didn't allow the incident to ruin his evening. The source adds, "The wai...

SNL's Jenny Slate Doing Fine After F Bomb

10/26/2009 9:57am EDT
Jenny Slate
Jenny Slate made an auspicious debut on Saturday Night Live this year, accidentally saying the F word in a sketch in the season premiere. Slate remains a part of the cast, and her castmate, Kenan Thompson, reports that everything has settled down behind the scenes.

"Yeah, she's good," Thompson said. "It happens. It's a live show. [Lorne Michaels]'s not going to fire anybody over a slip up like that. That was an innocent thing I think. I don't think she was like, 'This is my chance to say the F word on television.'"

The SNL veterans were sympathetic about the uncertainty that faced Sla...

Kenan Thompson Talks 'Sit Down, Shut Up' , 'SNL' And More

5/7/2009 10:44am EDT
Kenan Thompson
Sit Down, Shut Up may be one of the more brilliant shows to premiere this television season. Produced by the creators of, and starring half the cast of, Arrested Development, the show already has comedy street cred. (Unfortunately, just like it's highly acclaimed predecessor, Sit down, Shut Up may be in trouble. It's hard to ignore the show's being moved 90 minutes earlier to the Sunday night at 7 pm, "I know you're watching 60 Minutes," time slot. Hopefully, Fox will not make the same mistake twice.) Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson, who provides the voice for the school's principal, S...

Fox's New 'Sit Down, Shut Up' Joins Sunday's 'Animation Domination'

Sit Down, Shut Up
From the creator of Arrested Development and the producers of Two And A Half Men, comes the new Sony Pictures Television half-hour animated comedy series, "Sit Down, Shut Up" for FOX. The series premieres Sunday, April 19 at 8:30 PM (ET/PT) as part of FOX's Animation Domination Sunday night lineup.

Based on the hit live-action Australian series, "Sit Down, Shut Up" revolves around the lives of high school faculty members in a small Florida fishing town who are so preoccupied with their own personal needs and agendas that the students ALWAYS come second. At Knob Haven High the teac...

An Insider's Look At 'SNL' Behind The Scenes

4/1/2009 10:53am EDT
I am a Saturday Night Live junkie - so much so that at times I have trouble hiding how big of a fan when that little thing called professionalism may be at stake. It was so apparent in the interview I conducted with current featured player Bobby Moynihan - a self-described "SNL" nerd himself - that he casually mentioned the prospect of me attending a show.

Now I could tell Bobby was a really nice guy, but I thought he was just trying to be polite. I was pleasantly surprised (read: screamed like a 12 year old girl!) when a week later he followed up on that invitation and asked if I wan...

Meet The Cast That's Going To Save 'Saturday Night Live'

5/9/2008 9:00am EDT
Saturday Night Live
For those of you who have been keeping score, it has been a long time since Saturday Night Live, once the premier, end all and be all of comedy on television, has held the clout it once demanded. In fact, many of those who grew up on the late night comedy show have long since grown disinterested and weary of sub par casts, guests, and skits. "Saturday Night Live" was declared dead by popular consensus. And yet, after 33 seasons, it is making a new bid with some fresh faces. Sound the alarm - the funniest night of the week is back:

Meet the group that's going to Save Saturday Night Live...

Top 20 Kid Shows From The 80s & 90s

4/29/2008 11:35am EDT
Ren & Stimpy
Remember the innocence of childhood? The birthday parties. The water gun fights. The sleep overs. Oh, and the television shows! This is a countdown of the top 20 kids shows from the mid 80s and mid 90s. There are some exceptions, though, and they are as follows:

Though excellent shows, programs such as Pee Wee’s Playhouse, Sesame Street, and "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" are absent from this list. This isn’t just because they premiered decades ago but also because their target demographic was roughly children six and under, rather than kids aged seven to fifteen, which this coun...

Starpulse DVD Review: Snakes On A Plane

1/5/2007 11:04am EST
Snakes on a Plane
Early in 2006 it was announced that a film called "Snakes on a Plane" was going to hit theaters by the end of summer. Initially the film sounded like a total flop with a name like "Snakes on a Plane"-- a total B-movie that would be a complete bomb at the box office. But then we found out that Samuel L. Jackson would be starring as the film's main character. In fact, Jackson even signed on to do the film based on the title itself and hadn't even read the script. So naturally, as soon as Jackson's name was attached, every blogger from Perez Hilton to The Superficial and news collective from ...
