Openly gay actors George Takei and Jesse Tyler Ferguson have saluted Boy Scouts of America for changing the organization's rules to allow openly gay youths to be members.

In a post on his Twitter.com page, Takei writes, "The Nat'l (National) Council of Boy Scouts just voted to lift the ban on gay scouts. A great step forward," while Modern Family actor Ferguson also praised the decision.

Nevertheless, American Pie a...

Some Celebrities love us (and you) more than others. Some celebrities are reclusive nomads who do a movie and then crawl back into whatever hole they live in away from the world, with no communication whatsoever until we hear about their next upcoming movie.

Other celebrities however, engage themselves with their fans. This used to mean interviews and autographs, but now, it means something slightly different. Social media has allowed the celebrity crowd to communicate with their thousands of fans instantly and with a great deal of personality.Even if they don't talk with each individual...

Gay actor George Takei is encouraging leaders of youth organization Boy Scouts of America to reform their current rules against accepting homosexual members.

Ohio mom Jennifer Tyrrell was ousted as an adult leader of her seven-year-old son's Bridgeport troop in April after bosses decided her sexual orientation "did not meet the high standards" set forth by the group. Her child Cruz was subsequently asked to leave the organization as well.

And now Star Trek veteran Takei, who was a Boy Scout in his younger years, is calling for change.

He will participate in New York City's 43rd annual...

'The Celebrity Apprentice' Recap- Oh My! George Takei Falls On His Own Sword

Celebrity Apprentice
Last week, the Celebrities worked a Medieval Times angle. Lou Ferrigno hulked out when Penn Jillette mentioned his lack of focus, but it was Victoria Gotti who got the axe. Can the ladies of Forte pull it together, now that Victoria is gone, or will the men of Unanimous carry on their winning streak?

After the firing, Lisa Lampanelli swore she’d never Project Manage again, but she’s more determined than ever that Forte kick some Unanimous butt. Penn Jillette had the pleasure to present his team’s win of $40,000.00 to Linda Smith for his charity “Opportunity Village”.

THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE
Last week, the celebs pushed ‘sammiches,’ making a record profit donation for any first week of the series, when American Chopper star Paul Teutel Sr. slightly overcharged one customer to the tune of $305,000. The men of Unanimous rocked, and walked, leaving the ladies in their dust. Although none of the women on Team Forte seemed to like Victoria Gotti’s attitude, they, and even The Donald, were not about to get on the Mob Princess’ bad side. So they axed the quietly classy, and original Supermodel Cheryl Tiegs. Looks like the ground rules have been laid; win by any means, and don’t worry...
