| I think in durty dancing he was a wicked dacer and for about 4 weeks me and my sister gina practise the dance where they did the lift in the air and eventurely me and my sister could do exactly the same as he could and wen ever we to an disco or some thing like that we did it and everyone used to say that we where nearly better than him he used to be my idol for dancing and for him when i grow up i want to be a dancer on t.v. | ||

| I REMEMBER BACK IN 1974 WHEN THE SURGEON IN OMAHA TOLD MY FATHER THAT HE HAD LUNG CANCER AND THAT HE HAD ABOUT 6 MONTHS TO LIVE. OUR ENTIRE FAMILY WAS SO DEVASTATED BY THE NEWS. i WAS IN THE GROCERY STORE AND A WOMAN TOLD ME THAT SHE HAD HEARD ABOUT THE BAD NEWS AND SAID THAT IF HER HUSBAND HAD GONE TO THE MAYO CLINIC HE WOULD STILL BE ALIVE. WELL, I TOLD MY PARENTS ABOUT IT AND MY FATHER TALKED TO THE DOCTOR WHO SAID IT WOULD BE USELESS TO SEND HIM TO THE MAYO CLINIC BUT HE WOULD SEND HIM ANYWAY. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, THE MAYO CLINIC HAD JUST COME UP WITH A NEW EXPERIMENTAL MEDICINE WHICH WAS ADROMIACIN AND IT CURED HIM. THE MAYO CLINIC IS WONDERFUL AND THEY ARE ALWAYS COMING UP WITH SOMETHING NEW ALL THE TIME, SO JUST BE PATIENT. MY FATHER WAS ONE OF THE MAYO CLINIC'S FIRST GREAT TEST PATIENTS ON THE NEW MEDICINE AND THE DOCTORS WERE ALL THRILLED WITH HIS RECOVERY. | ||

I have always followed Patrick Swayze's career with interest because we share the same past, the Joffrey Ballet. I always found it wonderful how he transitioned into acting and his screen success. His Dancer training will surely help him during this health crisis. I hope and pray for his recovery. Dancers know how to love and how to laugh deeply. this alone should help him through. Dear Swayze Fans, I guess I am lucky. My mom danced with Patrick at a club in Houston called the Golden Hour. All throughout my youth every time one of his movies would come on screen my momma would tell me can you believe I actually danced with him Ashley I really did and he is just as amazing on the screen as off the screen. such a Gentleman. A true blue gem that man. So yes ladies there is still faith for all of us! | ||

| Your biography is wrong. I went to high school with Patrick who was known as Buddy. His MOTHER was a dance instructor and choreographer. His dad was in the oil business. Thus you have a ruggedly good looking guy who could play football, do ballet and get along with anyone. Many girls who went to Waltrip trained under Patsy Swayze. God bless you, Buddy and Lisa. | ||

| Patrick, I know from experience how cancer can effect you and your family, I have leukemia. I was diagnosed with it when I was 2 1/2 yrs old. It is now in remission. I do pray for your recovery. I was never supposed to have children, but i have 2 wonderful kids, my son is named after you. I hope everything goes well and know you will be in my prayers.. | ||

Patrick and wife---I have a letter to mail you but I dont remember what town you guys abide in....PLEASE eat lots of good fresh juicing daily--esp. carrot juice. STAY away from red meats--use chicken and turkey., We had 2 ladies in our church who did very strict diets, and they did NOT have to continue chemo. | I can't pretend to know what it is like to be fighting cancer but I know what it's like to have a family member fighting pancreatic cancer. My uncle was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July of last year, even though he had symptoms since February of that year. He is still doing chemotherapy and gained some quality of life back. I consider him a success story and even though there will be moment s you just want to give up, I hope you have the support to help you to keep on fighting. I hope you are receiving the best of care. It is even harder when you want to fight and want to live but can't afford to pay for your treatment. I don't know if you will ever get to read these comments but Good Luck to you and never give up hope. | ||

I would like to say that those people who express their medical opinions, star struck comments or just plain dumb remarks - keep in mind (1) thing...This human being is fighting for his life and that is the most important thing in the world. I want to extend my sympathy and understanding to his family for the pain I KNOW THEY are going through. I watched my sister die of cancer and was with her while she struggled with the pain and will to live. It's so horrific of an experience. Why don't you people stick your comments of - "Sexy, try this cure and man you were great in Dirty Dancing" and pray for the man - not celebrity. | ||

| I'm so saddened to hear about Patrick's diagnosis. I lost my sister in June of 2007 to cervical cancer at 54. It's hard to believe that our generation is falling victim to cancers that are not commonly known. I have been a big fan of Patrick's and admire him so much. I have every one of his movies. I respect him because he is one celebrity that has not been in the media making an exhibition of himself with bad behaviors. I admire the fact he is with his wife who is not s ome child who could be his child. To me Patrick is someone I feel is worthy of idolization for all his contributions to the movie industry as well as a damn good human being - God Bless him! | ||

| Patrick Swayze has always been one of my favorite actors.I loved Dirty Dancing so much, that when I could get it on cable, I recorded 2 copies of it just for myself. That way if 1 tape broke, I'd have a backup.I still have them, and always will.I love to watch people dance & when you add talented people like Patrick to do the dancing, that's even better.I pray that Patrick will be fine & beat this horrible disease.He is such a wonderful actor & person.It would be an awful, awful loss if he doesn't survive this.I will keep him in my prayers & I want him to remember that the Lord Works In Mysterious Ways.I pray with my whole heart & soul that Patrick will survive this & be just fine.After all, he not only has modern medicine & The Lord on his side, he has all of his fans across the world wishing him well & praying for him.God Bless You Patrick, We All Love You. | ||
