That’s my wife.” And so we are introduced to Eric Stoltz’s bitter better half Rosanna Arquette in Quentin Tarantino’s famed iconic runaway smash. Caprica
Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica has been axed after less than a year on TV screens.

The Syfy network show, starring Eric Stoltz, debuted in January and returned to the small screen this month after a mid-season hiatus.

However, fans will now have to wait until next year to see the final five episodes of season one - TV bosses have axed the series with immediate effect amid declining viewing figures.

Syfy network spokesman Mark Stern says, "We appreciate all the support that fans have shown for Caprica and are very proud of the producers, cast, writers and the rest of the amazing...

Learn More About SyFy's New Drama And 'BSG' Spinoff 'Caprica'

August 20th, 2009 10:07am EDT
Caprica
Long ago, in a popular culture period far, far away, to watch or read science fiction was synonymously tied to the then derogatory term of 'geek'. Now that stereotype has somewhat weakened. One of the many reasons for this change was the Ron Moore reimagining of 'Battlestar Galactica' in 2004. 'BSG' was a hit not just amongst the typical sci-fi fan base, as it is most commonly discussed as a space opera, but to more non-traditional fans. When 'Heroes' debuted on NBC it was a break in network format. Many questioned why it was not to air on the sister channel, then, Sci-Fi, and spurred d...

Our Favorite High School Movies

September 18th, 2008 10:00am EDT
The Breakfast Club
Perhaps you've heard about "Assassination of a High School President," the Bruce Willis/Mischa Barton movie that darkly satirizes high school politics. While much of the high school set is eagerly anticipating the film's theatrical release in early 2009, early reviews from its January screening at Sundance have been mixed. MTV has praised it as a cross between "Rushmore" and "The Usual Suspects," while Variety labeled it an "uninventive," "muddled parody." Only time will tell if the movie becomes an instant classic or ends up in the bargain DVD bin next to "Encino Man."

There has been...

The Best & Worst Films By Quentin Tarantino

April 24th, 2008 8:30am EDT
Quentin Tarantino
The serendipitous career of eccentric movie producer, director and writer Quentin Tarantino is a complex one. His films are not off the wall, but they invoke an element of surprise that comes from the small details within a scene that catches one off guard and by adding mysterious elements that never get explained. A good example of this was in Pulp Fiction when M...
