John Stamos Takes On Broadway

John Stamos
John Stamos is returning to Broadway - he will revive Dick Van Dyke's role in a modern remake of 1960 musical "Bye Bye Birdie."

The actor will join Gina Gershon in the new stage production by the Roundabout Theater Company - his first role since the long-running medical drama came to an end on Thursday.

Stamos will portray Albert, the manager of rocker Conrad Birdie, in the show, while Gershon will play his love interest Rosie.

Bill Irwin and Jayne Houdyshell will also star in the forthcoming production.

Hollywood couple Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell are celebrating after the Ugly Betty star gave birth to twin girls on Monday morning.

The baby news was broken by the couple's close pal, DJ Howard Stern, on his Sirius radio show on Monday, and Romijn's publicist Lewis Kay has confirmed the news to People.com. Kay says, "Mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well."

Romijn, who was previously married to ER actor John Stamos, wed O'Connell in 2007 and the baby girls, named Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, are the couple's first children together.

The cast of 90s sitcom Full House is planning to return to the small screen in an up-to-date version of the show that launched the careers of the Olsen Twins.

Mary-Kate and Ashley found fame sharing the role of little Michelle Elizabeth Tanner in the comedy, which ran from 1987 to 1995. John Stamos is keen to follow his pregnant ex-wife Rebecca Romijn into parenthood, and he's willing to adopt in a bid to start a family. The star, who divorced mom-to-be Romijn in 2005, insists a child would perfect his life, but he insists that having kids with his ex would have been a bad idea.

E.R. star John Stamos came to the aid of an extra on the show after he fell and dislocated his knee. The actor - who plays paramedic Tony Gates in the hit show - leaped into action and packed ice around the fallen actor's joint before popping it back into place.

He said, "You dislocated it. I did the same thing to my own knee. Keep the ice on it for a while. It should be fine."

Stamos stayed with the extra until a studio nurse - who confirmed his diagnosis - could attend to him.
