'True Blood' Recap - Beautifully Broken

June 21st, 2010 12:57pm EDT
True Blood
True Blood, what did we ever do without you in our life? It's so good to have the show back, and they're wasting no time before blowing the audience's collective mind. Previously on the show, Bill was kidnapped, Sookie was freaking out, Tara was committing suicide because Eggs is dead, Jason was guilty because he killed Eggs, Eric was in trouble because of the illicit V selling thanks to Sophie-Anne, and Jessica had killed a man. Sucks to be basically everyone on this show! The last thing we saw was Bill taking on a wolfpack.

The episode starts right up there, with Bill covered in blood an...

'True Blood' Recap - 'Bad Blood'

June 15th, 2010 9:25am EDT
True Blood
HBO has provided some incredible television for their hard working (and high paying) customers, but it's rare that a show catches fire the way True Blood has. This show achieved critical acclaim from the beginning, with people promising that Alan Ball has created more than just 'another vampire show,' and each season grew in popularity and viewership. Season three has premiered to high numbers, and with the momentum it has, it has a real chance of becoming the best rated show HBO has ever had. Does it deserve this? Hell yes. The marketing is brilliant but it does not lie; True Blood is back...

'True Blood' Star Natasha Alam To Bare All For Playboy

June 10th, 2010 8:53am EDT
Natasha Alam
Sexy star Natasha Alam is celebrating her upcoming addition to the cast of vampire series True Blood by baring all for Playboy magazine. The actress graces the cover of the July 2010 issue of the men's magazine and peels off inside.

The spread marks the second time Alam has stripped for the cameras - her nude scene debut came on the show, in which she'll play a sexy dancer at the Fangtasia club owned by Alexander Skarsgard's True Blood character Eric Northman. Skarsgard gets naked in the scene, too.

And she tells AccessHollywood.com the big reveal on TV was much more nerve-wracking than...

Anna Paquin's Shiny Blue Dress - Hot Or Not?

June 9th, 2010 1:12pm EDT
Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin showed up at the "True Blood" season three Los Angeles premiere on Tuesday in a very bright blue and black dress. She looks pretty good, but we're not big fans of the shiny material used for the frock. What do you think?

The actress, who recently stated publicly that she's bisexual, doesn't understand why her sexual orientation is such a big deal. She insists it was never a big secret.

Anna is engaged to marry her vampire co-star Stephen Moyer, and she told Zap2it, "I'm not someone who endlessly talks about her personal life for no reason, but obviously, as someone who identi...

May 13th, 2010 8:40am EDT
True Blood
"True Blood" actor Alexander Skarsgard is eager to take on nudity and same-sex trysts if the role calls for it.

He explains, "I'm not a prude at all. I shot a very, very graphic scene two days ago with a man. I am from Sweden, and it's different there. If it makes sense, I'll just do it. And to me, so far, it's made sense every single time I've got naked or made out on the show."

According to tvguidemagazine.com, "True Blood’s" new gay vampire Talbot (Theo Alexander), will cheat on his 3,000-year-old boyfriend of 700 years, King of Mississippi Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare), with one o...

"True Blood" star Alexander Skarsgard had to be restrained by police at California's Coachella Music & Arts Festival this weekend after becoming incensed by the paparazzi snapping him with his rumored girlfriend Kate Bosworth.

The actors were among a host of celebrities who headed out to Indio for the weekend to take in sets by artists including Muse, Gorillaz, Jay-Z and Public Image Limited (PiL).

But Skarsgard found himself being held back by authorities on Saturday night when he lost his temper and snapped at the photographers.

'True Blood' Recap: Evan Rachel Wood Disappoints, People Act Stupid

August 31st, 2009 11:44am EDT
True Blood
"True Blood" is a pretty remarkable show in that the second season eclipsed the first one in terms of writing and excellent acting, which was a big deal since the first season was critically acclaimed and beloved already. There are a lot of fans who say that they liked the premiere season, but they've started to love it this season. Every episode has been strong and interesting and weird, so it stands to reason that one episode eventually had to suck. Just so that "True Blood" didn't get too arrogant. This was that episode. It didn't suck so much as ... it was kind of treading water getting...

'True Blood' Recap: Jason To The Rescue, Sookie's New Power & More

August 24th, 2009 11:40am EDT
True Blood
"True Blood" I have a bone to pick with you. Now I love you very much, especially when you go crazy on me, but the most recent episode was only 45 minutes long. That is at least 10 minutes less than what we're used to, and the shortness was definitely felt. There are only two episodes left, and I expect them to be excruciatingly long to make up for it, got it?

The show opens with Sookie dreaming about Eric again, and while it does establish her softening toward him, they're becoming slightly annoying. DreamEric is most definitely not Eric, and hopefully Sookie needs to de-Twilight her th...

Recap: 'True Blood' Final Scene Is The Most Emotional To Date

August 17th, 2009 2:08pm EDT
True Blood
Why do you have to hurt us so, "True Blood?" The more we love you, the more you hurt us. Sniff. A lot of things are shifting on this show now, as Bon Temps officially goes to hell and Dallas is wrapped up with a lot of grief and pain on the horizon. Eric proves his humanity is still intact, which is not good news for Bill at all, and Godric meets the sun. Damnit.

The show opens a few minutes before the bomb goes off, and then Bill goes flying inside to see how his beloved Sookie is. There is blood and guts everywhere, proving that more than a few vampires and humans died, including the c...

'True Blood' Makes An Impression At Comic-Con

July 29th, 2009 11:53am EDT
True Blood
When "True Blood" first premiered on HBO last year, it already had quite an eager and excited audience. Perhaps it was the viral ads that HBO kept running, or the vampire-mania that was beginning to get attention again, but at least some of it had to do with its strong, vocal presence at the San Diego Comic Con. Thousands of people saw huge posters all over the con advertising the show and got a few first looks, so this year at a comic con it was like the cast was coming home to an inbuilt fanbase. Almost every major actor on the show appeared at the panel, and Ballroom 20, one of the large...

Q&A: 'True Blood' Creator Alan Ball Talks New Season, Characters

June 12th, 2009 3:25pm EDT
True Blood
The second season of HBO's True Blood promises to be sexier, gorier, funnier and deeper than the first season, according to creator Alan Ball. He's absolutely right.

Starpulse had a chance to review the upcoming season's first four episodes and participate in a conference call with Ball. "The show is really finding its identity," he explained. And it's an identity we can really sink our teeth into.

Since season one finished last year, there have been some developments on the "True Blood" set. Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer, who play star-crossed lovers Sookie, a human, & Bill, a vampir...
